Exams Other than CUET for UG Admissions

CUET UG is the premier examination for Undergraduate Admissions in the country but is not the only examination offering UG admissions. Here is a list of examinations apart from CUET that will offer UG admissions to students:

MHT CET

MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a state-level exam conducted annually by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. It is held for admission to engineering, pharmacy, planning, and agricultural courses across Maharashtra. Check all details of MHT CET.

WBJEE

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted annually by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. WBJEE facilitates admission to undergraduate courses such as Architecture, Engineering & Technology, and Pharmacy in various government colleges, universities, and self-financing technological and engineering institutes in West Bengal. COMEDK

The COMEDK UGET exam, organized by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka, provides admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering and Architecture at participating colleges in Karnataka. Check all the details of COMEDK here.

BITSAT

BITSAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) for admission to their Integrated First Year Degree programs. The BITS campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad use BITSAT results for admitting students to B.Pharm, B.E, and M.Sc courses. This exam is online and computer-based, attracting over 3 lakh candidates each year, with a very high cutoff score. Check all the details of BITSAT here.

JEE Main

JEE Main is a national-level entrance exam for admission to B.E/B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Plan courses offered by 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 19 GFTIs. Conducted by the NTA, the exam takes place twice a year, with Session 1 in January and Session 2 in April. To gain admission to IITs, candidates must clear JEE Main and then appear for JEE Advanced.

JEE Main consists of three papers:

• Paper 1 for B.E/B.Tech courses
• Paper 2A for the B.Arch program
• Paper 2B for admission to B.Planning programs

JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced is a national-level entrance exam for admission to B.Tech/B.E and B.Arch programs at 23 IITs. It is held for the top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify in the JEE Main exam. The exam is conducted by one of the seven zonal IITs—Roorkee, Kharagpur, Delhi, Kanpur, Bombay, Madras, and Guwahati—on a rotational basis, under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). LPUNest

LPUNEST is the National Entrance and Scholarship Test conducted by Lovely Professional University. This online Computer-Based Test (CBT) can be taken from home or at various LPUNEST exam centers across the nation. Held annually, LPUNEST offers admission to over 150 programs across all disciplines at LPU.

LPUNEST serves as both an entrance test and a scholarship test. The scholarship amount depends on the candidate's marks and rank in the LPUNEST exam. Each year, around 70,000 applicants register for the exam to seek admission to LPU. Check all details of LPUNest here.
