FMGE October 2026 applicants with deficient documents or images now have until October 23, 2026, at 2 pm to correct them. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced the extension on October 22, after the earlier deadline of October 21 at 11:55 pm.

The new NBEMS notice gives affected applicants another opportunity to complete the required uploads. Candidates who leave deficiencies unresolved by the revised deadline will be declared ineligible and will not receive an admit card. The closing time is in the afternoon, so applicants should not wait until the night of October 23.

The new deadline and next exam dates

Scheduled admit card release for eligible applicantsOctober 27, 2026

The admit card and examination dates remain those in the October 2026 information bulletin. The extension concerns deficient documents and images in existing applications; it does not announce fresh registration or reopen the general application-edit window.

Which portal should you use?

Open the October 2026 application link on the official FMGE page and sign in. Read the deficiency message against your application before choosing the upload route.

  • Document Scrutiny Portal: use this for documents NBEMS has asked you to submit or correct. The bulletin lists primary medical qualification records, their required apostille or Indian embassy attestation, Eligibility Certificate or admission letter, and proof of citizenship among the document categories subject to scrutiny.
  • Image Scrutiny Portal: use this to correct a deficient photograph, signature or thumb impression. Follow the Image Upload Instructions linked on the official FMGE page before replacing the file.

NBEMS requires eligible candidates to hold the Eligibility Certificate, where applicable, and the Provisional Pass Certificate or Degree Certificate for their primary medical qualification, as stated in its October 19 notice. The extra upload time does not waive these requirements.

If the scrutiny tab is missing or your status is pending

NBEMS says the Document Scrutiny Portal is visible only to candidates who have been asked to submit deficient documents. A missing tab therefore does not, by itself, establish a technical fault. Check the messages in your applicant login; do not treat the absence of a tab as a separate confirmation of eligibility.

A test city allocation also does not guarantee an admit card. NBEMS scheduled city information for October 20 through applicant login, without individual email or SMS messages. The board will withhold admit cards from applicants declared ineligible. Eligible candidates will find the complete centre address on their admit card.

The extension notice gives no date by which each pending scrutiny status must change. If you have been asked to correct a document but cannot access the portal, or cannot understand an unresolved status, contact NBEMS before the deadline rather than assuming your application has been accepted.

What to do next

Complete each requested correction in its designated portal before 2 pm on October 23 and retain a copy of the submission confirmation. For a query, call NBEMS Candidate Care on 011-45593000 or use its Communication Web Portal.

The query portal and email are not accepted routes for submitting deficient documents; the bulletin requires the designated document portal. NBEMS says no further correction opportunity will be given. Applicants declared ineligible because their applications remain incomplete will receive no admit card, and the bulletin states that their examination fee will be forfeited.
