National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 examination schedule. The exams are scheduled from January 22 to January 30, 2025, in two sessions. Paper 1 exam will be conducted from January 22 to 29, 2025, and Paper 2 on January 30, 2025.

JEE Main 2025: Exam Schedule

The dates and shifts for the JEE Main 2025 exam are as follows:

Key Updates on JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern

For the JEE Main 2025, the NTA has switched back to its pre-COVID exam pattern. In Paper 1, Paper 2A, and Paper 2B, there will be five compulsory numerical-type questions in every subject, and there will be no options.

JEE Main exam is further subdivided into three papers which are as follows:

  • Paper-1 for BTech 
  • Paper-2A for BArch 
  • Paper-2B for BPlan 

For JEE Main, the question paper will be divided into two sections - Section A and Section B. Section A will have 20 MCQ-type questions and Section B will consist of 5 compulsory questions whose answers will be filled in as a numerical value. Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2025

Particulars Details
Age Limit No specific age limit, but candidates must check their preferred institute's criteria.
Qualifying Exams - Class 12 final exam from a recognized board.- Intermediate/Pre-University exams.- Senior Secondary from NIOS or a 3-year AICTE-approved diploma.
Year of Appearance Candidates must have passed Class 12 in 2023, 2024, or appear in 2025.
State Code of Eligibility Based on the state where Class 12 was completed, not the candidate's residence.
