KIIT Signs MoU with New Zealand’s Toi Ohomai Institute to Boost Global Academic Ties

KIIT Deemed to be University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology, New Zealand. IT will be opening up new academic and research opportunities for students and faculty.

The MoU was signed in the presence of New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon. The agreement was led by Dr. Debraj Pradhan, Director General of International Relations at KIIT, and included key representatives like Gus Gilmore, Chief Executive of Te Pūkenga—New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, and Graham Rouse, Consul General & Trade Commissioner at New Zealand Trade & Enterprise.

This collaboration is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening academic ties between India and New Zealand. It will help in paving the way for student and faculty exchange programs and encourage joint research in areas that align closely with India’s current educational priorities. Areas such as skill development, artificial intelligence and vocational education.

In a separate visit, Ina H. Krishnamurthi, the Ambassador of Indonesia to India and Bhutan, along with her delegation, spent time at KIIT and KISS. They interacted with the leadership teams and explored the institutions’ work in education and community empowerment.

Impressed by the efforts of KIIT and KISS, delegation lauded their contribution to social change through education. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS said that such visits help build lasting global partnerships and promote a spirit of collaboration across borders.
