KIIT Signs MoU with University of Tulsa to Launch B.Tech Dual Degree Program

KIIT Deemed to be University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, to launch a dual degree B.Tech program. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS.
Speaking at the event Dr. Samanta said the MoU will allow KIIT students to gain international exposure while enhancing their overall learning experience and preparing them for global careers.
As per the agreement, students will spend the first two years at KIIT and the next two at the University of Tulsa. On completing the course, they will receive two degrees at the same level. Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice-Chancellor of KIIT, noted that this program is part of the university’s larger vision to offer more globally integrated academic opportunities.
Besides the dual degree, 40 students from engineering and liberal studies will also attend short summer courses at the University of Tulsa. The partnership aims to grow further through joint research projects, faculty exchanges and sabbaticals.
Dr. Vivian Wang, Vice Provost for Global Engagement at the University of Tulsa also expressed excitement about the collaboration saying it would help build stronger academic ties between India and the U.S.
Prof. Singh highlighted that the University of Tulsa has an excellent track record in student placements with a 100% placement rate—something that aligns well with KIIT’s own strong placement record.
