The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially started the NEET PG Counselling 2024 Round 1 choice-filling process. Candidates seeking admission to postgraduate medical programs can now select their preferred courses and colleges through the official MCC website. The last date to register for round 1, pay the registration fee, and submit the preferences is November 17, 2024.

Counselling Fee Structure

Candidates should be aware of the fees involved. MCC mandates both a counselling fee and a security deposit, which is refundable if a candidate chooses to exit counselling or if they are not allotted a seat.

• General and OBC Candidates: ₹3,000 (non-refundable) + ₹25,000 (refundable security deposit)
• SC/ST/PwD Candidates: ₹3,000 (non-refundable) + ₹10,000 (refundable security deposit)

Important Considerations for Choice Filling

Once the seat allotment result is declared on November 15, candidates allotted a seat must download their allotment letter from the MCC portal. They will then need to report to the allotted institute with necessary documents for verification and complete admission formalities. Failure to report by the deadline will result in forfeiture of the allotted seat and security deposit.

For those who do not receive a seat in Round 1, additional rounds of counselling will follow. Candidates can opt to participate in Round 2 or mop-up rounds, offering further chances at securing a postgraduate seat.
