The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT Entrance Exam 2025). The NIFT 2025 exam is a gateway for admission into various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and PhD programs offered for the academic year 2025-26.

NIFT 2025: Overview

The NIFT Entrance Exam 2025 will assess candidates for programs like Bachelor of Design (B.Des.), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.), Master of Design (M.Des.), Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.), Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.), and PhD programs. The NIFT 2025 exam will be conducted in both Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Pen-and-Paper Test (PBT) modes across 82 cities in India.

NIFT Application Form 2025

Interested candidates can apply online via the NTA website from November 22, 2024. Those applying after January 6, 2025, must pay an additional late fee of ₹5000.

NIFT Exam Pattern 2025

The details of NIFT Exam Pattern 2025 are given below.

General Ability Test (GAT): Conducted in CBT mode, GAT applies to most programs.
Creative Ability Test (CAT): Conducted in PBT mode, CAT evaluates design skills for B.Des. and M.Des. programs.

Program-Specific Shortlisting

B.Des.: Candidates take GAT and CAT, followed by a Situation Test.
B.F.Tech.: Based on GAT performance.
M.Des.: Shortlisted through GAT and CAT, followed by a Personal Interview (PI).
M.F.M. and M.F.Tech.: Shortlisted through GAT and PI.
Ph.D.: Candidates undergo a written test and Research Proposal Presentation & Interview (RPPI).

NIFT 2025: Eligibility & Medium

The GAT paper will be bilingual (Hindi and English). Applicants are advised to refer to the official NIFT Admissions Guidelines 2025 for detailed eligibility criteria, syllabi, and examination schemes.
