The National Testing Agency, or NTA, has made available an important advisory to the candidates who will be sitting in the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination, or NIFTEE 2025. The exam is scheduled for February 9, 2025 (Sunday). It will be conducted in Computer-Based Test, or CBT, and Paper-Based Test, or PBT, modes in 81 cities in India. The entrance test is for entry into various UG and PG programs of the national institute for the next academic session of 2025-26.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Admit Card and Exam Centre Guidelines

  • Candidates must download the Admit Card from the official NTA website: https://exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT.
  • It is recommended to verify the reporting time, gate closing time, shift, and exam venue details on the Admit Card.
  • Candidates should visit the centre before the exam date in order to avoid rush on the exam day.
  • All persons are strictly not allowed after the gate closing time.

Documents Required Exam Day

  • Candidates need to take these documents on the day of examination:
  • Admit Card (printed on A4 size paper)
  • Valid ID Proof - Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License or Voter ID
  • Passport-size photograph (one for the attendance sheet)
  • Self-Declaration/Undertaking downloaded from NTA's website
  • PwD Certificate if required

AADHAAR-Based Biometric Verification

  • Candidates must bring the Aadhaar Card for biometric authentication.
  • Thumb impressions will be taken at least twice during the examination process. In case of mismatches, iris scanning would be done
  • Candidates without an Aadhaar shall be authenticated by other means, and an Exception Form would be captured.

Guidelines for the Examination and Marks Distribution

Items Allowed

  • Translucent water bottle
  • Translucent ball pen, pencil, eraser, ruler (for B.Des. and M.Des. candidates)
  • A-4 Translucent Acrylic Board (for drawing-type tests)

Items Not Allowed

  • Electronic devices, mobile phones, smartwatches, and bags are strictly not allowed.
  • No storage facility will be available at the centre.

PwD Candidates and Scribe Facility

  • PwD candidates will be given 20 minutes extra per hour of examination.
  • Candidates can bring their own scribe or request one from NTA (if mentioned in the application form).
  • Scribe facility is not available for the Creative Ability Test (CAT).

Strict Examination Conduct

CCTV surveillance and jammers will be provided at all centres to avoid malpractices.

Any unfair means like passing chits will attract severe action and debarment from future NTA exams.

Candidates must check that the question paper appearing on the screen matches their opted subject and medium. In case of mismatch, candidates must report the same to the invigilator immediately.
