The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has announced a Special Stray Vacancy Round for MBBS and BDS admissions. This round will take place between November 25 and December 5, 2024, following the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) schedule and the Supreme Court guidelines.

Details of Vacant Seats
The following seats remain unfilled after four rounds of counselling:

Additionally, Annaii Medical College has been granted permission to increase its intake by 50 seats for the academic year 2024-25. Additionally, Dr MGR Medical University, Guindy has added 50 more seats, bringing its total to 100. These newly added seats will also be included in this round's seat matrix.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates eligible for participation:
- Those without any seat allocation so far (must have applied to the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee and be listed in the merit list).
- Candidates who previously joined seats in Rounds 1, 2, 3, or the Stray Round but wish for reallotment (must register for this round).
Not Eligible Candidates
- Candidates allotted seats in the Tamil Nadu Stray Round but did not join.
- Those already admitted under AIQ (Rounds 1–3 or Stray Rounds).
- Candidates who resigned or discontinued their courses after October 14, 2024.
Important Notes
- Final Phase: This is the last round of counselling, and failure to join the allotted seat will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, tuition fees, and payment of discontinuation fees.
- Consequences for Non-Joining: Candidates who fail to join will also be barred from participating in Tamil Nadu UG Medical Counselling for the next academic year.
Candidates are urged to exercise caution while filling in their choices to avoid seat wastage.
