Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling Schedule For MDS Special Stray Vacancy Round Released

The Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Chennai, has released the Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling Schedule for MDS Special Stray Vacancy Round in Tamil Nadu Government Dental Colleges and Self-Financing Dental Colleges (under Government, Management, Minority, and NRI quotas) for the 2024-2025 academic session.

This counselling round will follow the directives from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria

The details of eligibility criteria for the Tamil Nadu MDS special stray vacancy round are given below.

Eligible Candidates

Candidates who do not hold any seats in the All India Quota (AIQ) or State Quota can participate in this round.

Non-Eligible Candidates

Candidates who have already joined MDS seats under the All India Quota or State Quota (Government/Management/NRI Quota) are ineligible.
Candidates who did not join their allotted seats after Round 3 in previous counselling rounds are not eligible.
Candidates who were allotted seats in the MCC-conducted special stray vacancy round cannot participate in the State Counselling.

Registration & Fee Structure

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs. 1000 during the registration.
A Refundable Security Deposit must also be paid, depending on the quota:
1. Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Dental Colleges: Rs. 1,00,000
2. Management Quota seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges: Rs. 2,00,000
Fresh candidates who haven't paid the security deposit previously will need to pay it during registration.

Choice Filling & Locking Process

Candidates can choose between available Government and Management Quota seats, depending on their application. The choices can be modified multiple times before locking, but no changes can be made after the final locking. Thus, they should carefully review and prioritise their choices.

The rule of reservation will apply during the seat allotment process.

Downloading The Provisional Allotment Order

Candidates must pay the tuition fee online to download their Provisional Allotment Order. Tuition fee structures are available on the official websites:

Candidates who fail to report by the stipulated deadline will lose their allotted seat and the security deposit.

Reporting To The Allotted College

Candidates must report to the college with their original certificates for verification and provide a scanned copy of the certificates.
Non-reporting will result in the cancellation of admission without further notice.
Candidates must also submit a self-declaration form affirming that all information provided is accurate and any misrepresentation may lead to forfeiture of admission.
