UP NEET PG 2026 Round 1 counselling registration is open from October 21, 2026. The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has asked eligible NEET PG 2026 candidates to register on the official UP NEET portal, pay the registration and security fees, and submit their choices within the published schedule.

The online registration form closes on October 26 at 11:00 AM. The separate window for registration and security-fee payment remains open until 2:00 PM on October 26. The round covers state-quota seats in MD, MS, Diploma and DNB programmes in government and private medical institutions in Uttar Pradesh.

UP NEET PG 2026 Round 1 counselling dates

These dates are taken from the Round 1 schedule published by DGME Uttar Pradesh. Keep the time windows in mind because registration, fee payment and choice filling close at different times.

Who can participate in UP NEET PG 2026 Round 1?

Candidates who qualified NEET PG 2026 can take part in the state counselling process, subject to the eligibility conditions in the official UP notice. This round is for state-quota seats in MD, MS, Diploma and DNB courses offered by participating government and private medical institutions in Uttar Pradesh.

The DGME instructions also set a separate condition for state-quota DNB seats: only eligible in-service candidates of Uttar Pradesh can use that route. For MD and MS state-quota seats, the notice refers to the applicable PMHS cadre list for weightage. Read the official direction before selecting a category or claiming any service-related benefit.

Registration alone does not guarantee a seat. Candidates must submit accurate details, complete the fee payment, fill choices in order of preference and follow document-verification and reporting instructions if a seat is allotted. An incorrect or unsupported claim can affect participation or lead to loss of the allotted seat.

How to register and fill choices

1. Open the official UP NEET portal and choose the UP NEET PG 2026 counselling registration link.
2. Register with your NEET PG 2026 details and the contact information you can access throughout counselling.
3. Enter the requested personal, academic, category and service details carefully. Check every field before moving to payment.
4. Pay the registration and security fees within the separate payment window. Save the transaction details and the completed registration page.
5. After the merit list is released, return to the portal during the choice-filling window, arrange preferred courses and colleges, and lock the choices before the deadline.

What happens after registration?

DGME will publish the Round 1 merit list on October 26. Choice filling starts at 5:00 PM the same day and continues until 5:00 PM on October 30. The order in which you place choices matters because the allotment process uses the submitted preferences along with merit, eligibility, category conditions and seat availability.

The seat allotment result is scheduled for November 2. If you receive a seat, download the allotment letter and follow the admission and reporting instructions for the relevant date. The published admission windows are November 3–7 and November 12–13. Keep copies of the application, payment receipt, locked choices, allotment letter and documents used for verification.
