There is nothing like influence or something to choose this college. Since my childhood (class10 to be more accurate) i had seen my sister went to this college which excited me first. Till then it was a little dream to get admission here. But ofcourse nothing is easy in todays time. I had given one written exam or entrance exam to get admission here.
I had choosen chemistry as my honours because i love the subject. Besides loving the subject i had always heard that this subject holds more scope , it gives more job opportunities than any other subject. I don’t know how much this is true but yes learning this subject is making me more enthusiastic and excited to learn more about it. I wanna go more detailed on this subject and still learning. And the faculties are just so good and friendly. They make learning more fun and interesting. But sometimes they are more strict specially during viva and all. But they are building the students life more fairly and rightly.
I haven’t opted any internship till yet as my laboratory works are quite hectic so didn’t get the time plus opportunity. But if you are interested then you can apply for summer internships for 2-3 months as one of my classmate had done it. Most of the internships offer were from IITs and NITs. So internships opportunity is quite high and valuable here.
Till now I haven’t seen any placements opportunities in our department as it is rare. But some private companies came for toppers i guess but not sure. To be honest campus placement % is very low here. But who knows if any improvements are made later on then students may be benefited.
The yearly fee structure for the selected course is 8000 approx or sometimes 8500 for science streams. But for art streams it is quite less around 5000 as they don't undergo laboratory works. Besides the course fee, extra departmental fund is also been taken of around 1500 which includes upcoming events cost etc etc.
To be honest, i love my campus more than anyone else. I love it completely and don’t wanna leave. There is no thing like ragging in our campus its all rumours sometimes . The academic hectic can be easily vanished if you spend time on the benches of the parks, the roads consumed by Nahor trees, the library, the park, the canteens everything. I just love them all. There is no thing like depression if you spend time with or without anyone in the library park or anywhere relaxing place.
Yes i have opted hostel. My hostel name is Aideu Handique girls hostel new building. Before coming to hostel we all thing that hostel life will be scary, seniors will be scary, ragging and what not. But after coming here i had never faces any of these. All the seniors are friendly here and tbh they all mind their own business which i love it. No one is there to disturb you. And the hostel mess is quite good. Monthly mess dues is 2000 and hostel fee is 3000 yearly, which includes 3 time meal and evening tea and snacks. Which is i think very much affordable and good. If we talk about the rooms it is 2 sitters including bed, table, wardrobe, chair, your own window. And the facilities are great for use as it is new. Every department contains fixed no. of hostel seats for both girls and boys. And if your marks are good and the home distance is long then you will definitely get hostel seat. It depends on how many students have applied before you.
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
