An honest short review of my college
Likes
- I like the environment the infrastructure the service provided
- Faculty members are quite good friendly but some are way too rude
Dislikes
- Unnecessary attitude of some of the temporary faculty members just makes your blood boil
- Rest other things are good no problems can be mentioned coz their ain't any
Remarks :
No no discussion. The college is closer to my home and also it is one of the most famous and well reputed college in Assam. No written test is required you just need to have the minimum marks required for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course that I'm doing is very good it provides you with the information about all types of animals there physiology morphology anatomy etc. Faculty members are good some are helpful some are not.
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven't opted for nay placements yet coz I'm not done with my studies yet I'm doing my bachelor's degree and one year is till left for me to graduate hope you understand.I don't have any idea about the internship opportunities available in my college
Placement Experience :
My plan after getting the degree is to focus on Defence services I'm doing this degree just for the sake of qualification required in the civil services but the subject I'm pursuing is quite interesting. College may provide you job placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As I'm a free admission student I don't need to pay the amount as much as the other have to. Every 6 months our new classes starts and fir each semesters we need to pay 650 for the free ones and 5000 above for others
Campus Life :
Campus is quite big free environment with good humored people. If you have friends ofcourse your social life will become better but if not then it's quite tough. College week is held every January where we can participate in different types of extra curricular activities like games sports arts literature etc.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs
Placement Experience :
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

Placement Experience :
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
