The factor that made me choose this college is the college is very prestigious and have a reputation since ages which have been maintained till now . Since the college is very prestigious the admission procedure is also rigid and we gotta have atleast of 80% in hs to get admission here. But overall the college provide a great environment for every student to study and since the college had a great reputation I was already intrigued to study here .
The course I selected here is the b.a fyugp on history as honours and the course itself is very vast but at the same time interesting as I was always into archaeological stuff and wanted to know more. The faculty here also teaches very well and we have 4 professor/teacher who have there own selective unit they teach according to their time table . The exam are also held in timely order however the results are announced very late which is a minor problem which should be sloved soon for improvement. The class are also all scheduled and are held according to the time.
There is internship opportunity available in the college according to our selective courses and many of the students have done in the dept of commerce such as the finance but since the course I opted for does not ask us to have applied for an internship I have not opted for any.
There is a office at the college campus which will help you find internship and placement after the course is completed and since it is my first year in the college and I've just finished the first semester I don't have much knowledge in this aspect and my course laso doesn't ask for internship for now so I'll update about this topic after getting adequate knowledge about this topic
The detailed fee structure in the college varies according to the different courses we select and there is also a reservation and fee minimization for those who have income certificate less than that of 4 lakhs yearly income of the family they need to pay a total of 1300 rupees per year. And the fees of all the other category such as lab fee and all are included in the payment. Here the payment of one year is taken in semester wise , after passing each semester there is a admission procedure to which we need to pay the fees. There are also few courses like biotechnology which is a self paying course and expensive than the other courses
The life at the campus is very happening since there is always one or other thing happening at the college. Whether it be the general election of the college for student union or freshers ot the farewell, all events are celebrated hugely here. There is also the library where we can find all the course book with other books too and the college also holds many competition nearly every months such as quiz debate and many more. There is also the annual college week which is held in the month of February which I'm very much looking forward to attend. There are also many clubs in the college such as the cooking club of hone science dept and the literary club.
I have not opted for a hostel because of the facilities which are not that of a great and the food provided in not that healthy in the hostel so I've preferred to stay at a pg near the college. Moreover the only thing good about being in the hostel is that it is located in the college campus so they are informed of all the latest information
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
