Remarks :
You will be merit in on the basis of your marks and there are reservation quota also , so according to it you will be getting admission . The good things about our college is that we have a big campus , good teaching facilities and there are separate classrooms for every department. The teachers are well qualified. We are provided with big and comfortable common rooms for both boys and girls . There is proper drinking water facilities and two canteens according to convience. Everything is good here . While talking about the cutoff , the cut off for general category is 80 percent and lesser for other castes . Many students apply in this college but only few gets seats here cause of its demand and high quality education facilities . After the admission process if there are any seats available then the admission committee conducts a spot admission where students can get direct admission there itself on the same day based of their marks as there might be other students too .
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because I was interested in it and I wanted to learn more about it . The teachers are highly qualified with well mannered behaviour. There is no compromise when it comes to teaching. The teachers used new techniques and methods of teaching. The term exams are conducted after every 6 months and the paper is difficult.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The registration fee is around 1500-2000 , admission fee is around 5000-6500 and all the including charges are included in the admission fee . Students with disability are charged less and the if your family income is less than 2lacs then you will get a free admission . National scholarships like Ishan Udaay are provided for the students who had good marks in 12th .
Campus Life :
There are fests conducted such as general freshers for welcoming the students to our college . It is well secured and volunteers make sure that nothing goes wrong in between . There is college week conducted and many sports activities for students to encourage them . There are variety of books provided in the library including daily newspaper and magazine . Along with other activities NCC and NSS are also included there . If you have taken ncc or nss then you will be benefited at the time of admission. There are many kinds of clubs such as dance clubs , gym and so on
Hostel Facilities :
Boys hostel is good but girls hostel needs to be modified as it is too old . An admission notice is given after that we need to collect form from the office counter and submit it . After that merit list is our then you can get admission

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
