- There are a lot of trees in the college campus.
- The environment around the college campus is very good.
Dislikes
- There is a problem of water logging during heavy rain.
- There is no holiday on Saturday even though a few students attend the college on weekend.
Remarks :
There is no entrance test for B.Com students. The admission is given on the basis of marks obtained in the last examinations i.e. 12th board. It is very easy for Commerce students to get admission in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Khalsa College is one of the best college in the state of Punjab. The course is very easy and teachers are very friendly and well-educated. The timings of the lectures are 40 minutes for each subject.
Internships Opportunities :
Students of the institute are provided with ample support throughout the year in order to prepare for on-coming campus recruitment drives by various companies. Due consideration is being given to co-ordinate with corporate sector for carrying out placement drives throughout the year.
Placement Experience :
Different companies those visited our college for campus placements were HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Genpact, Reliance, Tech Mahindra, Decathlon, TCS, B-Able, Unisys, Aon Hewitt, Lava Technologies & Wipro Technologies. Director, Training & Placements has been organizing all the events successfully related to Training & Placements, thereby creating a strong foundation for the career of the students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees of the college is paid semester wise i.e. after 6 months. The yearly fees is approximately Rs.55,000-Rs.60,000. Merit based scholarship is available for students of all categories i.e. those who got more than 90%.
Campus Life :
Khalsa Youth Festival is conducted every year in November. Libraries are available near every department. Every type of book and exam journals are available. Sports facilities are great in the college campus.
Hostel Facilities :
The quality of food in hostel mess is satisfactory. A variety of different seasonal cuisines are provided to students at a reasonable cost of about Rs.2900 per month. To avail the facility of hostel the student should contact the superintendent.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
