- I like good crowd and hardworking students as well as very funny students when there is topic other than study. Campus life is good and memorable when you are with them.
- There is market in our campus and 2 canteen which is plus point. All stationary things can be purchased from PEC market.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is very poor and no proper maintenance of buildings
- Hostel are very poor especially for 1st year
Remarks :
I had given JEE mains exam through which I got admission in PEC Chandigarh in CSE Department. Cutoff for CSE batch goes to around 10.5k in JOSAA counselling whereas overall cutoff rank closing is 85k for HOME state and 68k for Other state. I did my preparation of JEE in my drop year in Kota from Reliable institute.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Since i was interested in CSE department so I chose this branch. Teachers of 1st year don't seem to have much experience but at the end you have to do it by yourself. After 1st year i have listened teachers are highly qualified and having vast experience as well. In case of exams, firstly quiz held then mid sem the end sem. The level of exams are pretty good and since there is relative marking so you don't have to worry for it.
Internships Opportunities :
Since I am from first year I didn't get internship yet but the internship companies are like Microsoft, JP Morgan, Amazon, Goldman Sachs etc. The average stipend for CSE branch is around 35k per month and major roles are Software or web development or AI/Ml.
Placement Experience :
You have to crack interview And maintain a good cg for sitting on interview there are many big companies like Apple, Microsoft, JP Morgan visited our campus and highest packaged ever is 82,00,000per annum and average is around 12 lakhs for overall branches. In this year due to recession the percentage placed is 60%. My plan after getting degree is to crack a good placement job
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee of institution is 95k per semester that is almost 190k per year. But we had to pay 113k in 1st semester as it includes admission fee(5k) one time student service fee(6k), Security deposit(8k). For SC/ST students half of tuition fees is refunded. For scholarship:- 1. Full free ship on tuition fee shall be admissible to 02 students on the basis of JEE(Main) rank for the first year. If the top 2 students are boys the 1 additional full free ship on tution fee shall be awarded to girl student having top JEE main rank among all girls. 2.Full free-ship on tuition fee shall be admissible to all students belonging to PWD and having annual family less than 5lakh and half free-ship for PWD if income not exceed 10Lakh. 3.Full free-ship on tuition and hostel fee for People having BPL card issued by government. 4.Half free-ship on tuition fee shall be granted on basis of annual family income to max 2% of students in batch whose annual income less than 5Lakh.
Campus Life :
There is a very big and Famous fest of our college called PECFEST. This is conducted in November. There is library which have not good facilities but runs only till 5P.M . Also it is closed on Sunday. It only closed on 10 P.M when any exams are closed. It runs overnight when hackathon is conducted. There are athletic , football ,cricket ground, volleyball ,basketball court ,Swimming Pool ,Gym. There are many clubs technical, non-technical cultural etc. like SAASC ,ACM ,IEE ,Robotics,EEB and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
Food quality is okay okay and menu are fixed for whole week which get repeated for whole year. Sometime they make special food in any festival. You just have to fill form for hostel allocation and your parents and your details and Pay its fees. If i have to rent a room then i would go for sector 11-15 in Chandigarh.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
