- College life is is very good as the college is located in a big city chandigarh so there are many things to explore and there are even many things inside the campus to explore .
- Facilities are so friendly and helpful in studies
- College provides very good placement opportunities
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is way too old as compared to today's needs
- Fees of the college is too expensive for being a government college
Remarks :
College has a great reputation. Good nirf ranking and very high placements record . These are the things that made me choose this college . You've to score around 97-99 percentile in jee mains to get admission in this college and 75% marks in class 12th
Course Curriculum Overview :
The system isnt as advanced as other colleges like no app of the collehe to have attendance records and something else . Btech has 8 semesters in which different type of exams are conducted like quiz , mid sems and end sems . Faculty are mostly from phd dept. so they are nice and friendly to everyone.
Internships Opportunities :
No as i am in first year so till date I've not applied for any internships but the college provides good internship opportunities to studients . Some of the seniors I've talked to had their internship in big mncs like jp mourgan , tata , etc.
Placement Experience :
The college provides very good placement and internship opportunities to the students . You should have cgpa above 7 to sit in placements. Last year the average package for electrical engineering was 12lpa and lowest was 7 and the highest was 24 lpa . So the college is very good if you just want to have placements
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees of the college is very high as compared to other government colleges. It is around 2.25 lakhs per annum for btech . The sc/st students have to pay the fees only in odd semesters as there is half free ship applied on their fees .there are many scholarships too on basis of family income and categories like obc st and sc
Campus Life :
Infrastructure is way too old according to todays needs . Most of the classes do not have ac . All the buildings are old and rusty . Pecfest is organised every year in the college which is a very big fest . For sports there are also many facilities such as gym , swimming pool , table tennis , football ground and many more . The library is a bit small but have all the necessary books and materials in it . Clubs are also very active in college . Every week at least one club activity takes place .
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are also very old and costly as compared to the facilities. No cleanlines in the washrooms . The mess food is also of very bad quality makes people ill . Hostel is surrounded by big grass and trees so there are so much insects and snakes coming into hostel rooms . To apply for hostel you just have to go to the hostel attendant and show your id card , pay the fees and the room will be allotted to you if available

Placement Experience :
College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
