- I really like the campus life of GMC Patiala, the campus however is not very big but it’s beautiful
Remarks :
The admission to this college is merit based in the entrance exam of NEET. After qualifying in the exam, there is counseling which forms the basis admission. GMC, Patiala ranks 1 in the state out of all the medical colleges making it the first choice of every aspirant.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is such a way that it divides 19 diverse subjects into 4.5 years and 8 semesters. There are exams every semester, mid semester exams after the first one and finals after the second one. This course of medicine is very vast and exciting, and i have always been passionate about medicine so that’s why i chose this course.
Internships Opportunities :
There is a one year mandatory internship after the completion of final year profession exams in which interns are paid by the state government and students can not skip this one year of internship as it is necessary for the eligibility of the degree.
Placement Experience :
After 4.5 years, there is 1 year of internship in which students are paid on monthly basis by the state government. Post UG, one easily gets a job as medicine is always in demand. However placements offered by college are poor, one shall not rely on the college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First Year Fee: 174000 Second Year Fee: 191000 Third Year Fee: 208000 Fourth Year Fee: 226000 Fifth Year Fee: 106000 This only inclued the tuition fees of the college and not the hostel and is same for students of all categories The Hostel fees changes every year
Campus Life :
Campus life is really good, we have some event going on every 2-3 months. The annual fest of GMC Patiala is named AURA and it is conducted every year in october or november. The classes take place at lecture theatures, they are huge air conditioned classrooms and can accomodate all 250 students at once. We have all the sport facilities at our college alongside a huge playground.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel conditions are decent, one does not face any major issue except the size of rooms The rooms are big enough for a single person but due to more number of students and less rooms, 2 students are assigned 1 room Hostel Fees changes every year but ranges around 40-50k per year. Mess is good and food is really nice, food tastes just home like and there is a good variety

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
