Remarks :
It is the most prestigious college in Punjab for medical studies. The admission process is easy as long as you get the desired marks in the NEET exam, there are no interviews or written tests after the counseling is finished. The cut-off is most obviously expected to shoot up this year(2024) more than 10 times as was in my time.
Course Curriculum Overview :
MBBS is the most prestigious degree in India. It is the oldest medical college hence the faculty is very well qualified and very helpful. Exams are held from time to time as necessary by NMC guidelines. The fee hike policy was really bad the cost of studying MBBS in Punjab is maximum while the stipend/salary is nearly minimum, which is very discouraging.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship is mandatory after the completion of 4.5 years of MBBS. It is about 1 year, you are given a chance to perform your duty in every different field in the hospital. Clinicals start in the 2nd year to get students used to the clinical lifestyle in the hospital.
Placement Experience :
MBBS is the most sort after course, you are easily placed as an MO( medical officer), you can also clear the NEET PG exam or NEXT now to get admission to PG courses directly after MBBS. You don't need to worry about placements in a medical college.
Campus Life :
The college infrastructure is good. The fest named AURA is held every October. The library is very fine. Sports are highly promoted in our college. The hostel is decent there is renovation going on so it will get better only. The college social life was good but now many restrictions have been imposed on students, looks like a living hell. Hopes to get our freedom back soon.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
