I really wanted to pursue some course other than engineering and other courses, since I am from apparel production we don't have any situation tests while the entrance exam meanwhile for design students there is situation tests while entrance. Your rank and category decides your campus and somes campuses like kannur, Bhubaneswar offer domicile category
Apparel production in NIFT Bhubaneswar is good because we have good machineries and equipments as compared to other campuses and faculty are so friendly, we can share our thoughts with them very easily, faculty are also so supportive whe assignments or internship and any other things
For apparel production it is mandatory that we have to complete a textile internship of 15 days after the completion of 4th semester and after 6th semester we have to do an apparel internship for 2 months, after the completion of internships there will be a jury which is conducted by external faculty where we have present our learnings and experiences including a documentation work
The placements here are good, we can also go to other campuses as well for the placements and give interviews faculty also helps us with the companies like what to do and how to choose. Now for Bhubaneswar campus it is said that minimum 8LPA companies are only allowed to take interviews.
Yes, there are scholarships available for the families with income less than 10LPA and also reservations for categories , around it costs 20-25 lakhs including all your hostel fee, mess fees, other crafts and arts stuff, fabrics and other stuff, even though it's a central government college this fee structure not expected by anyone and not everyone can afford it
Yes, there are 6 clubs in the campus. Every month there will be certain programs related to the clubs, and also our campus celebrates many cultures and festivals like onam, pongal, mahalaya, Ganesh chaturthi etc. Junior senior interactions are also so good.
Hostel rooms are good and wide enough, each room is accomodated with two people there are ac and non AC rooms available, students can opt as their requirements but for the first years there will be no option for the AC in their first year later they can shift. And also there is hostel for boys. Coming to mess the food is so good and also hygiene and systematic
After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
