- The faculty were nice, there was nothing much about the infrastructure, the campus life was good for social people.
- The students were very mean to eachother but obviously exceptions are always there. But the exposure is pretty good.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure lacked a lot of things, like an auditorium or AV room.
- Some faculties were very diplomatic to students in terms of their assignments.
Remarks :
I wanted to pursue a career in photography, writing and design and Fashion Communication was a well-rounded course for it. We had two rounds of tests, 1st was a qualitative and quantitative exam which included a written test and a drawing test. 2nd round was the studio round, basically, design and craft work.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course specifically to learn the subjects like photography, writing, graphic design, and editing. The faculty at Nift is really good, they have different approaches to learning and exploring this field, and everything is a hands-on experience for students. There were no exams we had a jury we had to present the whole work we did semester-wise to the jury panel and explain our objectives and learnings. There is a 10% hike in fees every year, which I feel is quite expensive being a Government college. There are scholarship programs, but I don't remember its name.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, we have to do 2 internships during the 4-year course from the college's side. The College mentors also help us find good internships sometimes. One is a 2-month summer internship and the other one is the graduation project that is done in the 8th semester for the entire semester.
Placement Experience :
Placements for fashion Communication students are good, but for other departments, I am not very sure. The packages are very basic for other departments and only 2-3 FC students make it above the 15lpa package. And I believe more campuses should conduct these placement drives, rather than Delhi Mumbai and Bangalore only.
Campus Life :
Campus life at Nift is all about socializing, if you don't socialize you will miss out on a lot of activities, the students are the whole body to organize events and make them fun. We have an inter-NIFT event called as converge, students prepare hard for that. There are mainly 4 clubs, with presidents and secretaries. The hostel was okayish during our time but now they have installed air conditioners so the conditions are pretty good, the mess in the initial days is too good but the quality degrades after a while. The hostel was quite affordable and accessible.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

Placement Experience :
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
