- Access to PU campus. Biggest friend circle in vast fields.
- Faculty is very good .professors from IIT s,nits etc . For first year, even some of the teachers are PhD scholars.
Dislikes
- Lack of infrastructure and sports facilities
- Lack of hostel facilities for boys especially
Remarks :
My main reason of choosing this college was my 12 th marks .i got 74.8%, just 1 mark less than 75% criteria .So the best option left was UIET Chandigarh . And also chandigarh is a very beautiful city . Moreover , staying in the hostel of uiet ,u have access to all the campus of PU.So,your 4 years of engineering will be very memorable and amazing. The college take admission on basis of jee mains percentile. If u have around 96-97%ile ,u can easily get cse branch and the closing rank of this college is 3-4 lakh for general.so easily with 70-80%ile u can get this college. U just have to take part in JAC chandigarh councelling which is completely online. The only drawback of college is small campus .else everything is good(professors, labs, workshops etc).
Course Curriculum Overview :
According to my opinion,top three branches of my college are CS, IT , ECE. if u want to get decent placement after the course.others are also good but can't provide package more than 10lpa after bachelors. If u are engaged enough in your branch , u can get a good package from any branch. Exam schedule is different from other engineering colleges. Firstly ,u will have minor tests , then major.there are 2 minor tests,out of which best score will be chosen. And then at the very end of the semester,u will have major exams.
Internships Opportunities :
Student can get various internship facilities (both paid and unpaid) . College has tie ups with many brilliant Indian and international universities. A student can also join research in his early years of engineering .
Placement Experience :
Placements for year 2024 are decent. Highest package was 25 lpa for cse and IT. and other branches also got a decent package. Highest package for ece is 19lpa and eee was 14.5lpa . Overall avg package for IT AND CSE is 10.5lpa and that for ece and eee was 8lpa. Student also get package of 50-60lpa offcampus in which alumnis helps alot. Companies like amex, Deloitte, etc visit for recruitments.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees for the 1st semester is around 54 k to 56 k and second semester is 46-48 k.there sre various scholarships also like for the economically weaker section( they can get fee waiver upto 75%) other scholarships are as follows: Single girl child Defence quota PWD(person with disability) Rural area And many more. U can get scholarship from 30 to75% as per the criteria . Other than these waivers,if a student gets cgpa of 9.5 or above ,he/she can get fee waiver of upto 75%.
Campus Life :
Campus Life will be very memorable. U will get many chances for self growth through fests. The main fest of uiet is goonj fest . It is held in January every year . Concerts, sports, stalls will make your engineering a step good. We also have a library (UIET library), it has around 2-4lakh books. There is a sports committee also for the students. There are many clubs like music, coding, bpc( brand promotion committee), drama club, Bhangra club etc . The infrastructure of the college is average but as I said PU infrastructure is best in chandigarh and u will have access to that also.
Hostel Facilities :
So the hostel facility is not very good.very few students get hostel facility. Others can request for hostel on guest basis. Food in hostel mess is very good . U will get proper hygiene. For those students who don't get a hostel either on permanent or guest basis,there are many pg facilities at a walking distance.

Placement Experience :
College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
