- Campus life is so full of greenery. Students can enhance their personality here.
Dislikes
- Professors and faculties are not up to the mark.
- Not much of scholarship options for students.
Remarks :
I choose this college because I had less than 75% in class 12. And in this college there was no 75% criteria. This college admits students who have a JEE main percentile. The counselling is done through Jac Chandigarh. Students have to do 40000 payment as advance payment during counselling. Counselling have three rounds. Any student above 90 percentile can easily get access to this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was given mechanical engineering during my counselling. The faculty where are highly qualified. some of them have done master's in various subjects. But some professors can't give you the right knowledge they have. They just tackle everything from outside. Talking about exams we have 2 minor exams and one major exam . It is held per semester with proper gap . Exam difficulty level is moderate.
Placement Experience :
Uiet Chandigarh have a very good placement record. Each year around 80% students get placed. Manage students try to be placed by following off campus method. Each section of department has its own placement cell.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Students have to pay 110000 per year. Student have to pay 40000 as first semester fee and the rest as second semester fee. There is no such kind of caution fee. Also we are not charged development fee or lab fee. Everything is included in that fee which we pay semester wise. In addition we have to pay examination fee for semester which is 3000 per semester.
Campus Life :
There are many festivals which are held in UIET Chandigarh . Situated in main area of Chandigarh students enjoy their college life very generously. Fest that include here are goonj freshers party which are held every year UIet has its own library with surplus of books. There is no AC in classroom. Some of the clubs include sae imagine jugaad and many more
Hostel Facilities :
I have opted for hostel. The hostel fees have to paid per semester wise. You have to pay security amount of 5000. Then you have to pay 6000 as hostel fee for 6 months. Also we have mess in our own hostels. Mess food is above average. You can eat mess food for rupees 45 per meal.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
