For getting selected in the college I had to give the entrance exam and after clearing that I had to give the interview which was in the college itself. I live in Kolkata and I had to come in Bangalore to give the interview but I gave the exam in Kolkata itself. Talking about why I chose the college is because it offers very good placements and its NRIF ranking is very high. And also it not only focuses on academics but also the holistic development of the students and there are so many clubs inside the college which involves stock markets, dance, film productions, actings, marketing, and also sports. I also choose this college because I play cricket and there is a lot of opportunity for sports in this college like cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, chess, snooker. College focus is not only on the education of the children but also curricular activities they put equal efforts in both aspects.
The fees of the FIB is slightly high because its the flagship course of Christ University and its available only in two campuses among 5 campuses. But according to the placements of the scores the fees is worth to be slightly high. Talking about the seniors and the faculty their really helpful and approachable. And most importantly there is no single scene of bullying and ragging because of the college being fairly strict. The teachers are really helpful and they are not at all partial. In one semester we have to exams which is the mid sem and sem and they also contain CIAs.
So there is no official internship offered in the first year but I being a first year student received internship opportunities unofficially but from the second year you will get a lot of internship opportunities from the college.
The college of Astra really good placements into popular companies and their are a lot of internship opportunities from 2nd year itself. Dshaw, JP Morgan, goldman sachs, etc. the highest package is provided by Dshaw.
The college fees is 2,49000 and the admission fees we had to pay is 5000 there is no difference in fees for different caste. But there is fees difference for NRIs which is slightly higher and for people of Karnataka it's slightly lower but there is not as such difference in fees. There are 4 years and The fourth this optional which is research and honours and for the first 3 years the course fee is almost same and its higher in the fourth year which is about 3.5 lakhs.
To be honest the campus is really small. Even being the campus small there is almost every facilities available inside the campus. The campus being small most of the people know each other which makes us socialise. There is also a library which has almost every type of books. There are lot of clubs where you can develop your experience in the lot of opportunities for sports and extra curricular activities. Even though we don't have a field for football and cricket etc. but we do have a rooftop of turf for cricket and football separately and also a badminton court. We also have a basketball court and a gym inside the campus. There a lot of clubs like caps, cusbma, niche, CSA etc. each specialising in different type of activities.
It's okay for the first years to live in the hostel to get familiar with the environment but I don't suggest anyone to continue living in the hostel in the second year because it being so strict. But the hostel has many facilities and the food is not included with the hostel but the canteen is available down stairs and the food is fairly good. I suggest to leave in pg they are a lot of PGs nearby. The hostel fees is about 60000
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
