1. From 2024 onwards, VIT PUNE and VIIT PUNE have merged. 2. Electronics branch in assigned to Kondhwa campus. 3. Faculties from both the campus will be available for lectures. This makes a plus point about the college. 4. All faculties are experienced. Overall will have a better management. 5. This college is ranked Top 3 Engineering Colleges in Pune(through CET) and Top 5 within Maharashtra (through CET). 6. VIT, Pune provides the best curriculum for academics. Too many project ideas are being shared. There are overall 52 clubs in campus which will help us with our academics and extra curricular activities. The faculties are very skilled and experienced. Especially the Electronics and Telecommunications branch has the most amazing faculty. The highest placement in the campus for the previous year was grabbed by ENTC student.
First year students do not get internship opportunity. The college has tie ups with various renowned companies for the internship. Student's overall academics and the CGPA decided wheather the college gives the internship opportunity or not.
As for the ENTC students, they get the highest placement offers. College also encourages in pre placements. As I am a fresher now, I still need to gather the detailed placement information. The placement average salary including all the branches and courses in about 4.5-6.5LPA.
I have chosen Electronics and Telecommunications branch in VIT, Pune. The fee structure is different for every category. For instance, I have applied through EWS Quota and my tution fees per year is reduced to ?1,11,000 from ?1,93,000(appx.). They aslo provide TFWS Quota, through which the complete tution fees are reduced. After taking admission, we can also apply through various scholarships and they also provide special scholarship for SC/ST and OBC category students. The college committee guides properly through the scholarship process.
The experience of campus life and social life in VIT PUNE is something extraordinary. At the very start, they conduct Induction program and the most awaited Fresher's Party. The college fests play a leading role in the social life. There are over 52 clubs in the College and each one of them is worth exploring. All the clubs, events and fests are independently handled by the college students itself.
I have not opted for the college's hostel as they have very limited vacancies. Instead I have rented a hostel within 1km to the College. Almost all colleges in Pune have veg and non veg both. If you are a pure vegetarian, you will have to compramise a bit.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
