VIIT Pune Courses and Fees

Computer Engineering has 180 seats, which is the highest intake among VIIT Pune B.Tech branches. Emerging technology branches such as AI, AI and Data Science, Data Sciences, Software Engineering, and IoT cost INR 5.97 Lakhs less than the established engineering branches across the full 4-year course. M.Tech students with valid GATE scores get a monthly stipend of INR 12,400 as per AICTE rules.

VIIT Pune Admission Process

VIIT Pune admits students to B.Tech and M.Tech through the DTE Maharashtra CAP process. The institute is autonomous under SPPU and also has an Institute Level (IL) direct admission quota for management seats.

B.Tech Admission

For B.Tech admission, students must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The minimum required aggregate is 45%, while Maharashtra reserved category students need 40%.

For Open category Computer Engineering admission at VIIT Pune, the MHT-CET percentile has usually stayed in the 98 to 99 percentile range. Newer branches such as AI and Data Science and Data Sciences have lower cutoffs than older branches.

B.Tech Lateral Entry (DSE)

Diploma holders and B.Sc graduates can apply for direct second-year admission through DTE Maharashtra DSE CAP. They need at least 45% marks, or 40% for reserved category students. Selection is based on merit.

M.Tech Admission

M.Tech applicants must have a B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering field with at least 50% marks and a valid GATE score. Admission is handled through DTE Maharashtra M.Tech CAP. GATE-qualified students can receive the AICTE-funded stipend of INR 12,400 per month during the course.

VIIT Pune Placements

VIIT Pune placed 86.3% of students in the 2025 placement season. The highest package was INR 45 LPA, the average package was INR 9.5 LPA, and the NIRF median package was INR 7.5 LPA.

The training and placement cell works with more than 100 companies. VIIT Pune Campus and Infrastructure

Students targeting engineering colleges in Pune through MHT-CET often compare VIIT Pune with Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT, Bibwewadi) and Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT, Lavale). VIIT Pune and VIT Pune are private autonomous institutes affiliated with SPPU, while SIT Pune is affiliated with Symbiosis International University. All three accept MHT-CET scores.

VIT Pune is the older institute in the Vishwakarma group and has NAAC A++ accreditation along with a longer alumni base.
