- Faculty members are all good and my fav is my mentor sir and our principal also put very efforts to establish the college in Tezpur as there is no pharmacy college at Tezpur and the campus is very environmental friendly and peaceful.
Dislikes
- The fund that's not provided by college for last sem project is bad thing as we pay fees for all lab facility that's the thing I dislike the most .
Remarks :
It's near to my hometown and it's the sister institute of GIPS guwahati which is one of the best pharmacy college in Assam or northeast and I personally visited the campus of the college offline it's very noise free and environment friendly and peaceful that's why I choose the college and also the fees structure is less than other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Very good faculty members are there in college some of them got the opportunity to works as a drug inspector and they left the college but their teaching skills were very good and the other teachers also have their own specialized degree in their specialized subjects and teach very well.Most of them are persuing PhD also.And B pharm is all about chemistry, cology , cognosny , you learn lot about medicines.
Internships Opportunities :
In last year we got our project but the fund required for chemical for project is totally self financed. I got my industrial training at Kolkata. And there is project guide for different subjects and accordingly college selects guides for students.
Placement Experience :
In 6th sem of B pharm we have to do internship which is arranged by college in different industries. Training and placement officers contact the HR of different companies and requested them to took us as an intern and placement starts at final year 8th sem. Interview conducted online also but offline is more preferable. Sun pharma , Ajanta, Ozone and many more are the company recruiting .us
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
58k per sem fees as we are the first batch of this college and now it's upgraded to 65k or more. sem fees include all the fees of college including library,lab chemical.and there is a gov quota of 10% for which entrance exam conducted
Campus Life :
There is a canteen also where ethnic food , fast food also available. College have gym also.There are lots of books available in the library which you can issue upto 5 books for 15 days and after that you have to reissue using your library card.Annual sports week also conducted very adventurous and annual fest called RONGMON also celebrated joyfully with cultural rally and Street drama.
Hostel Facilities :
There is both boys and girls hostel available. Food also given routinely. In a week two day meat, two day egg, two day fish and one day veg are given and evening snacks are also available. There is a huge campus in college in which they can go for walk or exercise and most importantly hostel having free wifi also.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
