The study culture at Christ is excellent and so is the atmosphere and environment. Christ focuses on not only education but also extra-curricular activities. The course that I have chosen is very beneficial for me as I have Political Science and History as my major and Economics as minor and all these subjects complement each other very nicely. Also Christ University has two major Libraries…the UG Library and the PG library each having 4 floors filled with books and archival departments too.
I chose this course because both History and Political Science are my favourite subjects and I also get to study economics. All the Faculty holds a doctorate degree and all of them have cleared their Ph.D degrees. So the entire year is divided into 2 semesters which consist of a mid semester examination and end semester examination. They happen in a span of 3 months.
The students get internships in the 2nd and 3rd year. They can either find it through themselves or they can ask the faculty to provide it for you. Me being in the first year haven’t opted for any internships currently.
You need to maintain a high CGPA at the end of the year and be on the top of your batch to avail a placement. One of my seniors got placed in Reuters, which is a very famous news company. They are on the post of HR. Their per month salary is Rs.1,50,000. About 20 percent students get placed after the college is over.
The tuition fees for NRIs is double than what it is for Domestic students. The registration fees was Rs 1200 while filling out the form. There are no scholarships available and there are no reservations for any kind of students. Whoever clears the interview gets a provisional seat in the batch and the seat gets finalised after you have paid the fees. There is approximately 5000 Rs fees along with the Rs 100000 but it is refundable.
There are uncountable number of events that take place in our college. Intra-college events include Darpan, Blossoms, Natakam and much more. There are many events that take place within various departments such which match the interests of the department. MUNs and Debates for my department are conducted frequently. Classrooms are well equipped with wifi for laptops. They work all over the campus. Along with competitions, there are various clubs that you can be a part of within your department such as dance, music, art etc.
The hostel I stay is on the Campus only. It is quite tough to find a room there and you have to book it way before in advance, Approximately 2-3 months before you move in. The girl’s hostel, Jonas hall, there are single rooms, double sharing rooms and triple sharing rooms. I pay Rs. 60,000 per year for a triple sharing rooms. The mess food is very tasty and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Opting for mess food is optional. The food is Rs. 4,800 and is served from Monday to Saturday.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
