There were no written tests, the admission of students is done by merit based. The cutoff for computer engineering is pretty high. The infrastructure is kind of bad of the college but the labs are equipped with good equipments.
To be honest, I chose this course because it is the best I could get. The faculty of the college is great, they are highly qualified and some of them have 25+ years of experience. The exams are conducted in two phases, insem and endsem.
I have not opted for any internship as of now because I am in 2nd year. There are many companies associated with our college like TCS, Infosys, etc. If you make good projects in Smart India hackathon or your own projects then you are more likely to get a good internship.
The placements of our college and another deemed University Bharat Vidyapeeth is combined. The students who are actually skilled got really great packages like 19lpa, 35lpa. And normally or average package lies between 3lpa to 7lps.
The fee differs every year, at the time of my admission, the fees was rs 97000 and I belong to OBC category so, my fees was rs 56000. The fee structure varies due to different castes or category but the open or general have to pay full fees
The campus and social life is pretty basic. Although at the time of fest, it's a whole different vibe, fests are executed on great level. The library is also pretty good, you will find all the source materials for exams and for your own reading also.
I was at hostel in first year and it is just good, the vibe of hostel is great because of our fellow roommates. The mess is also just good. You also get hostel wifi which helps students alot. The hostel is very affordable.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
