It is one of the most renowned colleges in Mumbai city. No hectic process for addmission. The addmission staff is coordinating and co-operative. The cut off list may come down till 65-70%. All the staff is highly qualified in their respective fields and also counsel the students whenever needed. A separate counselor is also in the premises. The infrastructure is upto the marks. Not to mention, it has received AUTONOMY and is NAAC -A grade.
Since it is Autonomous college, the course curriculum is set by the College itself. They have include various texts from the foreign curriculum and is very interesting to learn. The units are designed in such a way that each unit makes a huge difference in one's perspective. The faculty here is top notch. Exams are conducted is a very precise manner and no cheating is allowed.
No, I havent applied for any kind of internship through the internship opportunities provided by the Placement cell of Sophia College, because I wanted to study further and then take up a job. But the Placement cell has placed the students who had applied for internships into good and leading companies.
There's a separate Placement cell in the college. Multiple companies recruit students in large numbers. Since this is a girls college, the women here are empowered in every possible way. Also entrepreneurship workshops are held here.
First year - 6750 Second year - 6630 Third year - 6980 A lot of scholarships are available for girls . Also, Financial aid is available. The staff is very nice, polite, cheerful and helpful. The Principal madam Dr. Anagha Tendulkar, is just amazing.
There are many I mean many clubs you can be a part of. KALEIDOSCOPE here is a Centre of attraction- held in August-September. They have a huge library with all the important books with respect to the curriculum. The college also has scope for sports. There's a student council which helps and organizes all the activities here. The Bhabha Auditorium is the best part here, along with the central lawn.
I haven't applied for hostel. But one of my classmates used to stay at the hostel. It is right in the campus. Food is provided for them. The quality of the food is very good. A room consists of 2 students.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
