i wanted a change of place and pune was far off from my hometown hence i would get an entirely new culture which i am getting but it is still very diverse as people from almost every state come here and some even from different countries come to study here. i faced one examination that was SITEEE to get into SIT. other ways to get in include MHTCET , JEE or other govt. state exams. there was no other round of screening, no gd/interviews were held. Only the test.
The course curriculum is quite practicality based. my course being an interdisciplinary course offers me subjects from a variety of branches ranging from ai ml to iot to automation engineering. and with the coming senior semesters we get to dive straight into these topics not only theoretically but also practically , with all the labs that offer a variety of options.
i have not, but we have our own homegrown research centre named SCAAI or Symbiosis Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence. and we are also intimated of more such opportunities. due to the practical research that is done over the years in our academics itself. the college helps us in building our portfolio for future opportunities
eligibility criteria for placements is 8 gpa. we have been made frequent offers of over 20 lakhs by nvidia and such companies. but the average amount ranges from 8-10 majorly. the highest we have gone so far is 50 lakhs i suppose but that was also off campus. we have an insanely high number of students placed , talking about eligible students the percentage goes way above 95%. my plans after the degree are to pursue my masters in Ai/ML or pursue my passion in film making.
it’s 1.7 lakhs in the first semester and 1.5 lakhs in the second semester for year one. with 20K being the student security deposit. as fas as i have heard the top 3 students per year are eligible for scholarships of upto 50%. there is no other quota neither during admission nor during the study.
culturally we have ourselves an amazing college life , our cultural fest which normally happens during january but this year it was preponed to october 4th and 5th. it was such a vibe , everyone enjoyed a lot. specially the pro night was something you should join in on. clubs and social groups wise we have ourselves a consortium of clubs to choose from , i personally am a aspiring film maker so i am a part of MOSAIC the drama club of SIT,Videography exec at The Photography Club and a Social media team member at the Music Society. it is always a vibe to be there in the clubs and take part in events. talking about sports , we have a insanely good team of players. among all of symbiosis in pune, we have been taking the top spot non stop since a long time. we also have our Sports festival PROTA which is a clash between the branches of our college, being the photography co-head of this event, i know just how intense these matches can be.
i haven’t actually applied in the hostel but talking about the mess menu , i did try it a few times and i have to say the food is quite edible and nice. but you should know they have a only a limited amount of hostels here so there’s always a scarcity of amount of rooms that can be alloted. hence the faster you apply the better it is. otherwise go for flats or pgs near the college. you’ll find the most number of students staying near the college in a place called “ sus gaon “ , being 3 kms away it is the closest you can get from the college. the locality is nice. there is water and electricity problems sometimes. also autos will charge you overpriced charges so remember to go below what rapido or uber asks you. and if you can share with 3 people then that’s perfect as you can go for as cheap as 20? for one way.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
