- The campus life is quite supreme. Lush green campus as mentioned earlier as well. Secondly about the AIML Department it's been quite an experience being the department. Firstly the infrastructure is extremely tech advanced and the laboratories are very well equipped with good Computational facilities. We have around 8 labs with 30 PCs each, each one of the PCs are equipped with I7 HP PCs and the last two Laboratories have iMac as one of them for apple software development and other being a GPU Workstation lab with computational abilities catering to heavy executability of codes. The curriculum is devised very carefully with all the necessary subjects needed in the industry, rather there are a few extra subjects that are not even equipped in the majority of the markets, hence students possess more skills than promised by the end of their final year. Right now, we are running the fourth batch in the college since AI department is a very recent initiative by govt in the year of 2021.
- Moving on to the projects, The curriculum escalates very smoothly with the onset of Second year. Few subjects from the CS are also taught in AI such as Full Stack Development, so that with all the machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing models etc could be deployed through an application too. Also industry used softwares such as Azure, Kubernetes are also taught so that people have an understanding of CI/CD pipeline. Hence by the end of Fourth year students have around 13-14 subject based projects ready, besides these a lot of opportunities are opened to us by the internationalisation cell so that we can collaborate with Foreign universities to maintain pace with respect to curriculum there. Our prominent collborations are with Aston University and Loughborough university for projects and extra one year for Masters in the fields available there. Thereby we have 4+1 degree opportunity in AI available as well.
- The Projects we do here are reviewed by industry professionals like Philips, T-systems, Tech Mahindra, Dassault Systems etc under a project exhibition conducted bi-annually so that students get industry reviews and understand the technology being used in the industry so that they are well updated and groomed well by the end of the fourth year. Not just the technical grooming is important the overall personality development also matters, we encourage hackathon opportunities here, with cross college team collaboration for project development so that we get an understanding as to where do we stand. Not just this we have different clubs to help one tune skills, we have a social awareness clubs, drama club, music club, dance club, 4-5 technical clubs, and fests organised by students themselves. The students get a brief understanding of how to manage teams under, how to perform and turn out as good leaders so that they can be at their best when in the industry as well.
- In the meanwhile along with the degree the students can also pursue Diploma in Business Management. There are a few more value added courses as well like Cybersecurity, Blockchain technologies that one can pursue along with the current syllabus, these value added courses are chargeable not much but a few thousands. Besides, there are many industry laboratories being setup for R&D of AI by Tech Mahindra, Bajaj and Infosys it's quite an opportunity. More than this we have SCAAI symbiosis center for applied AI where people can work on real world case studies and publish research papers and patents. SCAAI is mainly overlooked by our dean hence it's quite a privilege to work with him who has 500+ publishings himself.
Dislikes
- One thing I dislike is there are so many opportunities and very less time to grab all of them in one go called "degree". Besides, the hostel capacity is a worrying challenge the college is facing, although the college is coping up with the hostel capacity to be exceeded. Secondly the connection to the main city Pune is available through public transport yet the college is a bit outskirts hence irrespective of the resources the travel time is quite long. Secondly the Sus village in which the college is surrounded the resources like electricity are sometimes quite scarce in the scenarios where in adverse weather conditions prevail. Hence it's sometimes quite a challenge being faced. Moreover sometimes the load increases and students might face issues picking up load and added commitments since a college has a lot to offer so student end up taking part in everything and dont realise the added burden along with the potential to prove themselves best at their academics.
- Adverse weather is also quite a challenge sometimes, students find it difficult to manage their commute since it's a village where the college is based and the Sus village faces a lot of traffic since it's a midway between two towns mhalunge and baner thereby having constant Flow of trucks and HMVs.
Remarks :
I chose the college during lockdown during that time the test was conducted proctored in an online fashion. Now, the college has its tests conducted offline at an exam center, the test being SITEEE. The exam is of 120 marks and cutoffs for AI&ML end at around 80. The particular reason for choosing the college was that I always had an inclination towards AI and this being the only college with a standalone AIML branch made it more specialized and helped me keep my interests allied with the domain. Secondly, Pune has been regarded as the Oxford of the East with the best colleges and education culture being built in the city, Symbiosis has always been a dominating face in the history of the educational aspect that's been tagged to Pune. So more of an added point on the sidelines which made it smoother to make a decision. Trust me it's not just the outer brand value of Symbiosis but on the inside it's literally what it is being valued from the outside.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the course mainly because of a strong interest and good background in mathematics, the foundational study of Artificial Intelligence revolves around Some fundamental concepts like Statistics, Linear Algebra, Matrices, etc. These have been the core reason why I chose AI besides the fascination I have in the field. The Faculty here is very well, teachers are majorly PhD holders and our dean himself is the head of the AI&ML department who graduated from IIT Bombay. Secondly, our batch is divided so beautifully that we have one to one student teacher learning methodology been imparted. So overall it's a great experience, which is why our faculties are more like our mentors. The exams are held quite frequently some MCQ based/written based called Continuous assessments. We have a compulsory written Unit Test once a semester, but at the end of the sem, we have practical project demos and an End sem exam in the end. The fee hike is just 1-3% in the range of the annual expenditure.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I have already been placed with a 50k stipend by AP Moller Maersk. My internship would be a year-long internship, followed by PPO conversion subject to performance. Mainly my work is in the ServiceNow Development team, into predictive intelligence and automation discovery team, since I come from a background in Artificial Intelligence.
Placement Experience :
We have seen extensive placement opportunities this season from diverse sectors like Finance, Healthcare, Supply chain, agriculture, cyber security, agriculture, aerospace, etc, this mainly helps us gain an edge over the CS department since we can tap every other domain and create a boom in the market. A few prominent companies are Barclays, Nomura, Philips Healthcare, AP Moller Maersk, Cisco, Palo Alto, Deloitte, PhonePe, StoneX, BharatForge, etc. Startups also have participated in the drive like Forma.ai, Diacto Technologies, Pyrax, Meritshot, etc. The highest package is 50LPA and the average range is 10-18LPA. So far as the drive is going on in college already 20+ students have been placed since our college's placement committee brought offers with PPOs along with internship offers. My plan after getting a job is to move into the domain of Finance since AI has touched this domain and is helping it achieve results by going leaps and bounds in advancements in the field of Finance.
Campus Life :
The campus is blessed with superb surroundings of the hills with clouds just touching the campus showering it with great monsoons, and winters which are quite an experience to witness. Moreover, SIT has an immense number of cultural-technical clubs that help one hone skills of his/her choice and result in a better version as a student altogether. The college maintains diversity by celebrating all the festivals of all the castes, some of the prominent festivals celebrated include Navratri, Ganesh Jayanti, Lohri, etc. Moreover, the college celebrates a sports fest during September followed by a technical fest(October) and 3-4 cultural fests with prominent people from the comedy industry and Bollywood singers fraternity, popular bands, and rappers have rocked the stage, and delivered a great experience. Books are available in the library along with good classroom amenities with smart boards in each classroom and laboratories equipped with all i7 HP PCs with advanced computation abilities.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is pretty good, however, the availability of rooms is still an issue faced by people in the second and third years. The food is average, along with the availability of diverse varieties and different menu planning per week. The registration for a hostel is done by the Student Affairs Committee of the college and the entire logistics are operated by them when it comes to hostel management. The room is on a double or triple-sharing basis with one attached washroom and bathroom per Bedroom. The hostel comes with laundry facilities and timely housekeeping for the upkeep of hygiene and sanitation.

It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
An industry focused learning experience

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced.
