Remarks :

The ranking. JNU tops the ranking everytime .The academia here is world class , professors are great. If you only want to study and have a better understanding of academia all together that come to JNU. You won't find a single professor in any centre who have not written atleast one book or have not worked at international levels . So when you're surrounded by such great professors you learn so so much and get some great opportunity. Also JNU is a hub for government exam preparation as well. 79% of beurocracy is made up of JNU alumini. To get into JNU, you've to appear for CUET, and you need to qualify two exams mainly - General Test and English. That's it , aim for 93 percentile or more. Selection will be easier. In chinese language the competition is not too high so the cutoff is a bit low like 90 percentile but in European languages the cutoff is high so prepare well. For general test it's just basic maths, gk and reasoning and english is basic English .

Course Curriculum Overview :

Chinese curriculum is a bit harder than any other courses in JNU . You'll classes 5 days a week, and you'll get a lot to study, we've exams every month and out of three exams , the best of twos are counted so make sure that atleast you appear for two and do your best. Faculty is amazing, disgustingly educated , their chinese proficiency is like native chinese and the way of teaching is a bit old but best in the country. You're going to find academics a bit tiring because indeed it is but slowly you'll adapt .

Internships Opportunities :

Not yet, didn't get time to choose any internship because academics are tough but I've taked tuitions for some extra income . People do bag a lot of internships and most of them are based on translation and interpretation. Like translating chinese to english or vice versa.

Placement Experience :

Placement is quite high and good. In our centre people get placed in companies like oppo and vivo at minimum wage of 50k/ month and can go upto 1lakh/month. Mostly hired by private companies and some business firms involved in exports and imports. I don't have a count but atleast 80% of students who apply for placement do get placed. I don't want to go to corporate sector so I want to appear for government exams and secure a government job.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee is around 175-180 per semester, along with that if you are alloted hostel, you have to deposit 6000 rupees and the mess bill which is around 3-4k per month, depending upon how much you've eaten. So mess is around 48 k per year and at 50k / year you are done with all of your fees. But for marginal students, the University provides MCM scholarship which is 2k/month for normal students and 5k/ month for physical challenged students. Fees is same for everyone , no category division but MCM is only provided to people who have low income.

Campus Life :

When it comes to fests JNU is a bit dry :). We do not have fests like they have in DU and other universities. But we do have a lot of seminars with very great academic personalities . We do have embassy visits . We students organize freshers for juniors and safe to say it's a decent event . In chinese centre we do celebrate " spring festival" or " Chinese New Year" and is celebrated around march. Library is JNU is great , we have two library, one in the centre and one central. Central library is huge and is open 24×7 and centre's library till class timings. Again you'll find all great books and a lot of books actually. Sports is not compulsory but you'll find tennis/ badminton courts, basketball courts and we do have stadiums. Sport events are organised regularly In JNU , there are lot of political discussion groups, a lot of reading clubs, festival clubs and. Sports clubs as well.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel life is fine. Hostels are cheap and rooms ar decent enough. Food is also decent for the price we pay. Somedays it's palatable, somedays it's not. But it's still better than a lot of private colleges I have heard of, especially for the price. Registration starts right at the time of admission and not everyone get a hostel. Priority list is based on the domicile and rank and if you've had a gap year or not on that basis you get a hostel. If you fail to get a hostel you can live in munirka which is a locality and you can also get DDA flats.

Distance learning along with fun.

Placement Experience :

IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.

DU Experience Packed with Learning, Practical Skills, and Dedicated Student Portfolio

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Gargi Colleg , Delhi university

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
