I had given Common University Entrance Test (CUET) through which I got Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi in First Round according to My Score (570/800). After the Result of exam, I was allotted to this College and No GD, Interviews or Written Tests was taken for the Admission.
As I have taken History Hons. according to my Interest and the preferences I had filled, My Overall experience is good, Course Curriculum is also good in deep you have to study the history. Faculties are also good and cooperative. But at the end, I would say that Self Study is to be done by every student as any faculty would teach you a chapter but you have to understand by your own. I would say seniors are much cooperative, they help in every possible way.
No I haven't opted for any internship programs as in the first year there are very few internships. Second year onwards you’ll get opportunities in various NGOs, Companies. But now you can work on your skills so that you can get internships easily according to your skills.
I have taken History Honours as I’ll be preparing Civil Services. So I have not taken the course according to the Placements. Average Placements which I have heard is around 5-6 Lacs per annum. But mostly, the students are preparing for Competitive Exams here.
The fees of the course in Deshbandhu College is around 14k to 15k per year (BA History Hons.). Every course has different fees structure. In this fees each and everything is included, the college won’t charge anything else to you. Financial assistance is also provided by the College according to the Financial capacity of a particular student.
College Campus is around 20 Acres (Approx.). In the whole Delhi University, Deshbandhu College have the biggest Library and every single book is kept in a best condition. There are many societies like Timbre Music Society, Marketing Society, Dance, etc. These Societies are meant for your personal growth as it gives you an Exposure due to people coming from Diverse Regions. Many Fests and Events are there like recently, Diwali Mela was conducted By National Social Service (NSS).
I’m living in Nehru Place which around 1.5 kms from the College. I’m living in a PG which is costing me 25k per month in double sharing. Food given in the PG is good. All the facilities in the PG are luxurious. You’ll have search PG or rooms around the College if want to get one. I suggest don’t go through the Online ones.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
