I got into this college through my CET score in Cap rounds and students can also get into this college through spot and institutional rounds. Goods aspects about my college are It is one of the most affordable engineering college of Maharastra. This college's placement records are better than most of colleges in Nagpur. Bad aspects about my college are : 1) College campus is small and 2) Some teaching faculties are not so good.
I chose this course because of my interest in electrical stuff and semiconductors and due it's affordability. There are two types of faculty in college Permanent Faculty and Visiting Faculty both of faculties are MPSC qualified. Some of faculties teachings methods are good but not of all of them. Exams are known as class tests are conducted nearly every end of the month.
For internships, college's support may be limited, so lots of initiative come from the students. Many of us actively search for internships during our vacation periods or even during the semester with companies likes NPTC, Tata Power, and other energy sector organization.
When it comes to Placements, GCOEN has decent track records especially for core engineering branches like electrical and mechanical. In recent years, companies like L&T, Siemens, TCS and Wipro have recruited from the campus.
Fees for General students - 29,146 , for OBC&EWS,VJ,NT - around 14k , for SC&ST - around 6k Scholarships available for all category students are: Mahadbt scholarship ( which is mandatory for every students who has taken admission through MHT-CET i.e Cap round) Other government and private scholarship schemes.
GCOEN provides solid infrastructure and variety clubs. The college has well equipped classrooms, labs , a comprehensive library, workshops, and computer facilities essential for engineering studies. Main clubs of the college includes: 1)Social Service Club - NSS and Rotaract for community service and society development 2)Sports Clubs - Facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports.
I've rented a room near college along with two batchmates. Living together has been mix of fun and adjustment. Having friends around for study discussions and assignments is a huge plus, though privacy can be limited. We also joined a nearby mess for the meals. It's affordable, convenient and mostly decent in quality, though sometmies taste varies.
The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown, people are more focused on mental health, thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
