I did not know much about the college while taking admission. But the college being government has a good repute. And one reason of me taking this college is it's very near to my place. The college has a very affordable fee structure. To gain admission here you need a good MHTCET Score. Cutoffs depend on the branch you select. For CSE- 96+, ETC- 93+, EE- 86+ , ME- 83+, CE- 80+ percentile is required to secure admission.
The college follows the curriculum followed by RTMNU, Nagpur as the college is yet to get autonomy. The syllabus is decent with frequent modifications to suit the current needs. Centre-based exams are held each semester. I chose Mechanical Engineering as I found it interesting and I'm enjoying it. Faculties are highly qualified with most of them being PhD holders from reputed institutes. Visiting faculties are also good. But despite being qualified, the teaching method is unsatisfactory and they don't care about students. Class tests are held every 1.5 months and end semesters at the end of each sem.
Very few internship opportunities are made available to the students. This year students for internship at IIT Bombay, BIS, Siemens etc. Most of them find internship opportunities on their own. As it is required for credits. Final projects are made by all the branches.
Placement is decent with good opportunities for Core branch students. Generally, everyone is eligible for the placement unless the person has any active backlogs. Several mass recruiters come to the college with an offer of 3-3.5 Lpa. L&T made offers to Civil, Mech, and EE students of around 6.5 Lpa. Most of them got placed there, The Highest package this year was 20 Lpa which was off campus. The percentage of students getting placed is around 50%. After my degree, I'm planning to join the defence forces.
The fee is around 27000 per/year. Apart from this, each sem Exam fee of around 2000 is to be paid. There are many scholarships available for the students. The college administration is very helpful and guides students to avail of scholarships. Fees for SC/ST are around 3000 per year. OBC/NT/VJ/SBC are required to pay 11500 each year. The scholarship amount depends on the type of scholarship availed. Some students even received 30000 in scholarships.
Campus life is not that good. Annual Tech Fest - Adhyaaya, Cult Fest- Oranz, and Sports Fest- Sfoorti are held every year. Various events are organised during these events and it's satisfactory. Sfoorti is highly competitive and lasts for 10-12 days. Departmental fests are also organised. The library is well-equipped. The classrooms are well furnished. A very small auditorium also exists. A new AC computer centre has been established for students. The campus is clear with ample parking. The college has a big ground which is not maintained so can be said that it is only brought to use during the fest. A new block is under construction. There are various clubs which only exist and are not very active. To sum up, with is okayish.
I haven't opted for Hostel facilities. So can't say much about it. But students say it is good all the basic amenities are provided. Mess is compulsory if you opt for a hostel. Apart from the hostel, there are several PGs and rooms available in and around the college.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
