I have been always wanting to go for a top tier college and Miranda has always been on top of the list. I was inclined towards Miranda for many reasons- One, being on top of NIRF ranking for consecutive 7 years is no joke. Two, It’s an ALL GIRL college which i absolutely love and i feel my safety in such a big city far from my home was the biggest pointer i kept in mind while deciding college. Third, Do you even understand how beautiful the campus is? Half of me was healed by just the beautiful scenery all over. Third, the societies and clubs kept me engaged and provided me with lots of insight other than academics.
I always knew what i wanted to after my graduation which is UPSC and i wanted my course to be in the same line. I chose BA Program over Honours because i wanted to study multiple subjects and not just one subject in depth. We had extremely qualified professors with immaculate knowledge, i loved the way they taught us and made it easy for all of us to understand subjects even in the corona period. They were extremely supportive and taught us well. Term exams were conducted after almost 4-4.5 months. Meanwhile college conducted internals too in the form of tests and assignments (majorly assignments)
No, i did not opted for any internship as i was already enrolled with a coaching institute for my upsc preparation. I did work for an NGO during my college years which was started by one of my seniors from same college. I was posted as Vice President of the NGO which was working for the underprivileged or financially challenged children who were preparing for UPSC.
Yes we do have internships and placement opportunities and i want to appreciate the work done by our placement cell. They are extremely hardworking and so supportive during the entire process of getting into an internship or job. Criteria for internships depends upon the internship one is applying for. We have internships for students of all the semesters. Highest package for placement was offered 21.5 lakh pa from DE Shaw. During my final year, between august 2022 to october 2022, approx 12-13 recruiters participated including RBI, Pearl Academy, Unacademy, De Shaw, Deloitte and more
We paid year wise fees of ?14,500 and in addition to that paid around 700-800 for registration of each semester examination. For the scholarship, I received one from NSP during my college years. Also, I need to add one thing that it’s been a year after i graduated in 2023 and we were told that we will be receiving an amount of ?1500 (i am not sure of the reason why we receive it). I received it few days back.
I cannot stop bragging about the campus, IT IS BEAUTIFUL. I loved spending time around the campus. Most of the time even if I didn’t had classes in between, i used to lay down in VC lawns or back lawns (my absolute favourite spot) About the societies and clubs, I haven’t been part of much but i volunteered in different activities like women’s development club, department programs and more and it is a beautiful experience all together.
No, i did not opted for hostel but visited that area once and it seemed beautiful to me. I heard complaints of hostel from a few people regarding food. I cannot comment on this because i might’ve heard wrong, majority of the hostellers enjoyed living there.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
