Remarks :

I appeared for Cuet, and also gave IPU BCA exam and got 2nd rank on IPU BCA and was going for VIPS but then I got this course and my primary reasons for opting for this college were : 1: Affordability, the yearly fees is just 28000 and even if I add 1.5L living expenses per year still it's under 2L a year which is less the just the fees of most private colleges. 2: University tag, being a DU student comes with its own perks, most important being the university recognition which will prove to be very useful when I will be applying for foreign universities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Coming to my course curriculum, the subjects are extremely well selected, the choice of subjects is just on point for the current market trend but there's a catch, that is the syllabus. The subjects are really good but the syllabus does not cover all the important things for good basics, if you really want to excel in your career you will have to study at your own level to cover all the important aspects. Coming to faculty: The course actually has only one faculty from our department and rest all are guest faculties from different departments and they will definitely teach you enough to score good in the examination but won't be able to help a lot if you are extremely dedicated towards your field as many of them are actually management faculties. Academic wise you can be very relaxed the core subjects syllabus is not much and there's a lot of practical component in it and we don't have mid sem exams so we have more than enough time for working on our skills.

Internships Opportunities :

No I haven't opted for any internship till now as majority of the internship opportunities are non tech. I did apply for the VCIS part time internship but didn't make it for some reasons. But if you are ok with non tech internships there are a lot many of them. Every day there's one or 2 new internship opportunity on the college's group that pays in between 5-15k a month.

Placement Experience :

Placements: Just don't expect from the college, the college's placement cell is really active but they just bring non tech placements. If you want a good placement you will have to look for off campus. Also my seniors who were really active in the software development cell and IIC, the teachers helped them to get placed, so that is one good thing as well. I have noticed that only a few students who are actually serious about their career and keep working on their skills are actually placed every year, not by the college's placement cell but off campus. And the average that I have mentioned is the average of these hardworking students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Per year Fees : 28,000/- Examination Fees Per Semester: 1600-2000/- Depending on the subjects that you have opted Some college level scholarships are available but they don't have any fixed amount, generally given to the toppers of every department on the college's Annual day. Apart from this there is financial aid from university level that is given to the Students with families from low income. You can check that here: https://dsw.du.ac.in/

Campus Life :

Coming to clubs and societies, there are multiple clubs and societies that active and you can be a part of any of them. Being a part of society improves your college life. College life I would say actually depends on the friends you make. Coming to the fests don't have any big expectations from the college the annual fest Josh that happens in Feb is not that big but it's fun and also you do have access to all the fests of different colleges in Delhi so that's another perk. Coming to campus: it's a small campus of 7 acres we have a main new building that's good and also another new building's construction is about to be completed. But the porta cabins that feel like refugee camps. The canteen is just not good, the food is good but the infra is not. Washrooms of the main building are good, rests are clean but not great. Research infrastructure is great we have a dedicated IIc building. In terms of sports we have a decent sized cricket ground, a few practice nets and volleyball ground.

Hostel Facilities :

College actually does not have a hostel, so if you are not from Delhi you will have to opt for either PGs or flats. Coming to PGs if you get a PG in kalkaji that will be expensive but good in kalkaji A triple sharing PG will cost 15-20k a month in a good area. If you opt for a PG in Govindpuri that will be way cheaper you can get a Triple sharing PG at 8-10k a month but the area is not good it feels very claustrophobic. Majority of the students including me opt for a Falt in the second year of college for good food.

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
