- Infrastructure and campus aesthetic is on point, it'll make you feel like you are studying in some ivy league college.
- The teachers are eager to help you once you consult them. The teaching style is subjective from teacher to teacher and based of the student's understanding, but if you put the right amount of effort the university will provide you with best resources.
Dislikes
- The campus is interrupted with a main road, and there is quite a commute between various campuses.
- Some faculties are stubborn headed, will target you to put you down. Keep an eye out for them and don't trifle with them.
Remarks :
The admission process itself is very easy and convenient. You go with all required documents, that is, 10th certificate, 12th certificate, TC, good behavior certificate, entrance mark sheet (if any),and some government approved ID proof, to the Management building in koel campus and register yourself. It was a clear choice to choose my college for me because it is the best private college in our city with highest numbers of recruitments. There is one KIITEE exam you need to give before admission for added scholarship or admission in general.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was previously an NEET aspirant so i always have been intrigued by Biological systems. Biotechnology is technical spin on the subject biology and that peaked my interest in the subject. having some prior knowledge about the subject helped in choosing the subject. The course includes vast and interdisciplinary subjects. In first year you get to learn Electrical Engineering and in second semester you learn mechanical engineering. You get to learn constitutional law, and subjects like IPR, that has got to intrigue you. If theory isn't something that you passionately follow, the lab days are something to look forward to. You perform experiments on the micro world under your microscope and watch how it reacts to different types of stimuli you provide. I choose this subject and course out of passion and KIIT school of biotechnology hasn't let it die.
Internships Opportunities :
Not yet, I am in 5th semester. I will be opting for a internship at the end of my 6th semester. The summer internships are very beneficial. There are lab run by faculties so you can ask them to work in their labs and usually they are very open with this and they allow you.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for sitting in placements in that you shouldn't have any back papers. As a biotechnology major, there are mostly and primarily pharma companies recruiting us. SunPharma, Himalaya are some big company names that come to recruit. There is high percentage of recruitment in the interviews.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The KIIT school of biotechnology has a tuition fee of 3.5 lakh per year, which has been just increased last year. The hostel rent with compulsory food charge will be extra. The rooms are quite good, but the hostel food is well hostel food. The scholarships are on the basis of some entrance exams, like NEET. A good (above 500 for general) can give you some scholarship. For hostel: Non-AC two bedded- 40, 000 rs per semester; Non-AC three bedded- 28,000 per semester, AC hostel Single bed- 65,000 per semester, AC two bedded- 60,000 per semester, AC three bedded- 50,000 per semester, Hostel admission and other fees- 15,000 (one time)
Campus Life :
KIIT is known for their cultural programs and active participation of students in them! you definitely don't want to miss the club and societies that KIIT Activity Center has to offer. One among many, in which KSBT is actively participate is NSS, it is a society by the people and for the people. It actively promotes and participates in cleaning drives, educating underprivileged children, promoting anti-drug campaigns, and many other campaigns. KIIT has a society for everything. EVERYTHING! KIIT fest is one of the most celebrated time in the campus, every hour in every part of the campus there will be something going on. Believe me you won't be able to catch everything, there will be so many things. When it comes to libraries, we literally have a 5 floor building for it, The Central Library. Also every campus has it's own library and reading rooms. Every hostel has them too.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel rooms are spacious, just wish for a good room mate. You will never have a complain about your hostel. The management is very quick and friendly. Any problem is fixed within a 24 hrs notice.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
