- The infrastructure of college is very nice in comparison with the colleges of shimla . Students from other states come to our college because it is very reputed . our college as many reputed alumni like preity zinta and rubina . faculty of college is also nice and approachable.
- The environment of our colleges is good the college is built in a good location. and we have a nice campus that we can explore during our free time and library is open till 4 pm so we can visit it any time.
Dislikes
- The main thing get a dislike about this college is that they are very strict regarding rules and regulation they treat us like children of schools we have fixed schedule for every class tea breaks lunch time in the first year we will not allowed to leave the campus till 1:00 p.m. even if we was free during the classes if we wish to leave the campus we would have to get the sign of principal on written application only then we can leave the campus they conduct money unnecessary event in the college weekly and we are forced to sit there for 2 three hours and we are not allowed to use our mobile phones during the session
- The head of our college is very strict and scold children and teachers without any reason .In the summers we were not allowed to wear off shoulder tops ,crop tops or sleeveless tops or ripped jeans and she would also scold children if the carries small purse and tell them that are not coming to a fashion show and if they are coming to the college why are they not carrying books. The college has very good reputation outside but only the student know what they go through in the college
Remarks :
This college is most reputed college in Shimla . the history of this college go back to 1904 . i searched about this college and my parents also wanted me to attend this college. We had our interview with the College Professor of Commerce Department prior to the admission and then we also had face to face conversation with the head of college. We were not required to give any exam for admission in this college
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because I wanted to have my career in banking or accounting field. According to my observation for the past 2 years I think the professor of our department are highly educated and as well as professor of other departments . They help us to understand the concept in the simplest in easiest way and they are approachable and they provide as proper notes for our exam and also tell us the important questions that can come. We have yearly system so we give exam of 70 marks at the month of April rest of the 30 marks are given by a teacher 15 marks for midterm exam 5 marks for attendance and 10 marks for assignment and class test .As our college affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University so our final exam come from there and it is difficult we need to study the exams of previous 5 year and study the pattern of question paper.
Placement Experience :
I don't know about the placement criteria because I am in second year but as per my knowledge companies from outside are invited to the campus for the placement of 3rd year students and internship also provided for second and third year student by the college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
for 1st year approx 36,000 + 10,000 for additionalcourse( digital marketing, advance excel) For 2nd year 38,286 +5000(data analysis) i think regeneration fee was approx 1000. all the categories have same fees.
Campus Life :
My college life was quite interesting and happy because of my teachers and friends. My college conduct many events like NCC carnival, Hindi week ,Women's Day ,Teachers Day etc.We have one of the best library in Shimla we are provided with books of all general in magazines in the library and we have the facility of computers and printers and Wi-Fi in the library .The college conduct many tournaments for sports like volleyball, basketball, table tennis etc. Student Council is also formed to help students with any kind of problem of suggestion regarding the college.

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs
