Ecstatic experience at St. Bede's

- I really like the location of the college. It is surrounded by thick forest from three sides and is also next to the main road . So it's also not easily reachable and at the same time secluded also.
- I really appreciate the reputation that the college has maintained for a long stretch of time. The faculty is top notch and that is what made me choose the college as well.
Dislikes
- The thing that I most disliked about the college was the lack of sunlight. It gets quite freezing in winters.
- It also gets quite boring at times as there are no fun activities to do around college.
Remarks :
St. Bede's is one of the oldest and most renowned colleges in Shimla. It has great reviews and that's what made me choose this college. Students have to go through an interview to get admission to English Honours, where their knowledge of the subject is examined. The college has a good studio environment. They hire the best teachers who are well-versed in the subject.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My teachers from my previous school suggested I go to St. Bede's. The main reason is its great reputation and best faculty. Also, it has a very genuine fee structure. I belong to a middle-class family but it was easily affordable for us. Various scholarships were also available for meritorious students.
Internships Opportunities :
There were no internship opportunities for English students. But for other courses, internships were available like BBA and psychology. Every year companies come and offer internships and jobs to the students of the college.
Placement Experience :
Placements and job opportunities are made available by the college. All the information and notifications about placements and job opportunities are made available to the students by the placement cell which is maintained by students. But for English students, there are no or very less placements or job opportunities. Regular placement drives are held but they are mostly for BBA students.
Campus Life :
Departmental fests are regularly organised in the college. In our final year department of English organised a LIT FEST in the month of April. A wide range of books and journals are available in the college library which are available to the students during college working hours. Sports is also given priority in our college. Tournaments are regularly organised for various sports to maintain enthusiasm. Various committees are also maintained to keep students engaged in extracurricular activities like NSS, NCC, and Energy club. The college website is regularly updated with the reports of clubs and committees which are maintained by members of the student council. Instagram accounts of separate departments are also maintained and regularly updated by students.

Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs
