- I really like the college life . Like the campus life is happening and you get a lot of exposure.
- The faculties are really sweet and helping . They are always there to help .
Dislikes
- The one thing i hate the most is the college mess food.
- The deadlines that we have to chase to complete the assignments. Because we are given bery less time to work and it becomes a struggle almost everytime.
Remarks :
I was really interested in design and graphics thats why i wanted to be in NIFT . I gave NIFT's entrance exam in 2023 and got selected . The entrance exam fee was 3000 . There were 2 rounds in the exam . One is general ability test and other is creative ability test . So about the college - it is a nice place to be in , the faculties are really helpful and encouraging , the course is also well planned and they teach you a lot of stuff that i am sure you wont be able to do from other colleges , the exposure is great . Fests and celebrations keep happening throught the year . The seniors are really great and they treat us just like their friends and i have never faced anything like raging or bullying by them . The college atmosphere is welcoming .
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Fashion Communion in my degree . I chose this department because i was interested in graphic designing and visual merchansiding . But it was one of my best decisions i think because the placements are really good and the faculties are the best here. They are always there to help us and guide us . I have really good connections with my faculties and we r also given a mentor from the faculty for 4 years who will guide us in the path. My mentor specially is really sweet and whenever i go to ger regarding any problem. She is always there to guide . The traching method is quite interesting. Its not like they just give lectures and take tests. Every favulty ensures that we are really learning something and they make us do a lot of classroom activity which makes it even mkre interesting and fun. We keep going on field visits and trips from college .
Internships Opportunities :
No till now i have not opted for any internships but from third year everyone in the college has to do internships with companies as a part of the course itself and its compulsory . By the end kf the third year students work on internships .
Placement Experience :
I dont have much idea about different department's placements but the placement in my department that is fashion communication is really good. Everyone gets placed and the average pay is 500000 per year which i feel is good where people are not even getting placed . The highest package was somwhere around 1600000. The eligibility is ofcourse good grades in all sems amd the number of internships and graduation project quality . Few companies that recruits students are aditya birla group , titan , myntra , etc. My plan is to basically get some experience in the industry and then persue my masters degree in fashion management and that course is also offered here in nift .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So the tuition fees per year is something around 300000. Not less than that . Registration was aeound 3000. This is for all category studwnts except NRI . NRI students pay around 1000000 per year . Plus there are few scholarships like SARTHAK and also they provide loan for study . Few schemes also keep coming throughout the year . This is the fee structure for UG courses .
Campus Life :
We have fests like Spectrum which is help every year and Converge whixh is an inter college competition . Spectrum happens ebery year between january to march . The libraries are open everyday till 10 pm except sundays. Evey book that you will ever going to need for the course and also foe extra curricular is available there . We can issue the book anytime from the library using our library cards . Sports meet happens every year and converge also have sports events . In college when sports meet happens , they offer a lot of outdoor and indoor games and also online gaming competitions . There are several groups in the college like clubs which conduct all these events together . We have cultural club , literary club , sports club , adventure and photography club and design and social media club . The presidents and secretaries are selected by voting . And ecah students has to be in one club and vote for their president and secretary .
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is inside the campus only. The fee for hostel is around 900000 for an year . The hostel is really nice. No water issue or power cuts. The security people are there 24 *7 . The problem is just the mess food. The mess food is pathetic and they never change the menu . It has been the same since 2 years and the food quality keeps deotriating . Once or twice i found hair in my food and i also complained but there were no much changes . The prices of food are affordable the quality is really an issue . I rarely eat in the mess because of the quality amd hygiene . They do not even make anything good on festivals or events also. Still the menu remains same and boring. Plus during class hours it is struggle to get food and eat in peace because of the crowd.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
