Reality of doon University
Likes
- The only thing I like about the college is its campus. It is very big also it is very beautiful. Mostly the buildings are fine.
- The faculty is good but only few people. Also there are not more restrictions in college.
Dislikes
- The condition of washroom is not so good. In mostly classes furniture is of bad quality.
- Some faculties are very rude.. they don't give clear information.
Remarks :
This college is mostly famous for its language course... It is the only college in dehradun which offers bechlors in language. For admission we have to give an entrance exam which is conducted by the university itself. This college has only limited seats.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because I personally feel that languages as a career has a lot of opportunities. The teachers are mostly good but I feel they can bring more good teachers. some teachers are really very creative and helpful. In one semester we used to have mid sem exam and then end semester. Mostly the paper is from what is taught in the class by the teachers. the level of exam is mostly moderate.
Placement Experience :
There are campus placements also in the university. But only few students appear for the placements. The package is not so high.. mostly Amazon or Accenture highers.there are few students who gets the good package. And mostly the package is between 6-7 lakhs .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In one year we have to submit the fees twice.. the fee we deposit for one semester is 17500 rs. In the starting when we take admission we have to deposit around 22-23 k. Then mostly it goes around 17k for one semester. Also their are some scholarship in which students gets the money.
Campus Life :
Our campus is beautiful full of greenery and also peaceful. Their are many clubs in the college which a student can join like dramebaaz, painting and sports. In college their are few fests like diwali or Holi..which are good. The library is quite good . There are many books also the reading room in which one can sit and study In college cricket is quite famous..and their are other sports are also Our college has NCC for girls.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
