The college provided a strict curriculum and was among the best for my course at the time of my admission. I had heard a lot about the university from my friends who were already studying in a different campus and was intrigued by the college life which did not felt as much when I myself experienced it as for me the managements brutality at times is much more than we'd like to handle.
Perticularly for my course the faculty has amazing teachers and some are even active scientists in their respective fields . Some teachers are really helpful and supportive for the students but there are huge blowbacks from the management at times and sometimes cases of favouritism among different combinations within our course itself. The management is sometimes unreasonable and cruel on students regarding attandance and we find ourselves helpless with no support as the management makes it impossible for us to counter them or to even seek a reasonable response in turn for our problems.
The college has asked us to get internships during our vacations and we had to get those internships by ourselves outside. Those internships especially in the field of life sciences are hard to get as places which provide interships believe that we yet donot possess enough knowledge to be of any use to them and thus the interships are really hard to find. Apart from that the college asks for interships to be completed within the vacation which makes finding an internship even harder as the employers are not ready to give a 2 or 3 week intership to us. On the other hands the internships take up our vacations completely as we spend atleast 21 days of our 30 day vacation at workplaces and other days are usually spent in finding one
There are usually no placement for my perticular course but there are good opportunities for students to get places some even have gotten placed in their 2nd years itself. But usually companies hiring for HR and marketing are there for on campus placements and have only very specific positions for students from other than management or administrative courses. Students persuing science or others have to sit in those interviews for jobs not pertaining to their specific courses and are more than often get laid down as they are not as trained or learned in the terms that the companies are looking for as compared to the students who are actively learning those things in their course itself.
Tution fee is 110000 INR Tuition fee for Karnataka students is 65000 inr for my course At the time of admission additional amount of 5000 inr was paid me which changes for NRI student to 11000+ 30000 additional fee and to 11000 + 100000 INR for foreign students . There are scholarships for financially weak students.
The college life apart from curriculum is fine there are fests and sports and e-sport events time to time . There is something happening going around the college all the time for us to take part in , from streat plays to food stalls to fests and flash mobs ...the college is fun to hang around in.
I didn't take the college hostel but from what I've heard from friends who life in college hostel..there is no food availablity in the hostel for the residents, the curfew is at 9 which is too early and you can't walk out of the hostel after hours
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
