- I like the campus because of the cleanliness and the greenery. Also the campus life is so sociable. You will never feel alone.
- The faculty of our department is so helpful and and so good to talk to or take guidance from.
Dislikes
- I don't like the hostel mess that much. They don't serve enough and we don't get to ask for it a 2nd time.
- The food of the canteen. The price for me is high as I am a local and I know what the price should be.
Remarks :
I didn't have to go through any interviews or group discussions, but I had to give a written MCQ state level test ,named as Common Pg Entrance Test, which is mandatory to apply for a pg course in govt. Universities in odisha. The factor is that the university was close to my hometown and I have got positive reviews from my alumnus I knew.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Although the course curriculum is easy to understand and exam Oriented, I would suggest to have a difficult one which would be more helpful for UGC NET syllabus. Academics is so good. Seminars , presentations, debates often happen in University campus and also in the department. The faculties are amazing. They not only focus on the front benchers , but also gives attention to the back benchers for their growth. There is additional classes for UGC NET preparation. You not only grow your academic career by choosing this university but also improves your personality and morals and understand life.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any internships as I am in my first year. But as far as I know the alumnus of the university or the department, the placement is so good. Self financing students get so many internships in prestigious places.
Placement Experience :
The plan is to secure a phd or Jrf through UGC NET. And the department provides various opportunities to go through this the faculties are helpful and free to talk to. There are also extra classes to help the students prepare for UGC NET.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As a history student belonging to general category and being a girl i paid 4042 for my first year admission but I think the readmission fees will be less that what I paid for my first year. As per the girls hostel fees goes , I paid 10,650 per year excluding Meals. The amount is 33/- per meal in girls hostel and 35/- oer meal in boys hostel. But if you are a male student belonging to general category the fees per year is 4186/-. Students get scholarship aid from the state government. One scholarship provide 30,000/- for 2 years, and another gives you 13,000 per year if you are a boarder and 8,000 if you are a day scholar and you can only apply for one of them. There are also other scholarships with terms and conditions applied.
Campus Life :
The campus environment is so green. Especially in the rain it looks fabulous. You will enjoy it to the fullest during the rainy season. The mornings are so fresh. The canteen food is also affordable and tasty. The library consists of various books of various authors. It has a digital library, reading room , reference library , and a library for visually impaired students. Every festival is celebrated with full of joy in the campus. There are also rallies are organised for the cleanliness of the campus. The students who are part of NSS also organise activities like plantation, plastic free campus , awareness campaigns and many more. They also get the chance to go to campings which are entirely government funded.
Hostel Facilities :
There is enough availability of hostel rooms for everyone applying for hostel. There 9 hostels , 4 for 1st year , 4 for 2nd year Pg students and 1 doe phd students. As per the girls hostel fees goes , the total amount per year is 10,650 including a caution fee of 2,000 and excluding the meal amount. The amount per meal is 33/- for girls and 35/- for boys. Meal is served 2 times per day. You can apply for hostel while going through the admission process in University by filling an application form and submitting it.

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
