- The college provides a good infrastructure along with a great social life.

- Some of the faculties are inexperienced and lack teaching skill.
- There is a great problem of water logging inside the campus during rainy season. It makes the travel inside the university difficult.
Remarks :
Ravenshaw university is one of the renowned university in odisha.It provides students with a good infrastructure and a healthy environment for study and other activities including sports and all. If I say about the drawbacks,I will say in my case there are some problems in appointing good teaching staff in my department...There are some teachers who teaches very well while on the other hand some teachers lack the teaching skill and experience. Otherwise the university has a great infrastructure and students can get great opportunities to show their skill set whether it may be in studies or sports. No, i didn't have to go through any interview or anything like that I was admitted in a merit basis which is mainly based on my 12th grade marks.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have opted Chemistry honours,and it was a 3 year course but due to some change in education policy in my residing state now the course is 4 years. About the faculty, i feel they are avarage and some of them are inexperienced and lack teaching skills.We are taught mostly by guest faculties which keeps on changing time to time(after each sem I think). In my case, the course duration is 3 years which includes 6 semester examination each in a time period of 6 months. Before the semester there is a internal exam which includes some portion of the exams and is of 20-25 marks each subject.its also called as mid sem exam.Along with it we have other subjects such a general elective which students choose as per their conviniance and along with it some optional subjects which changes each year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total tution fees per is 670/- for SC and ST students while it is 790/- for OBC and other students.A amount of only 670/- was taken from me in the time of readdmission.Aparr from it if anyone is residing in the university hostel,then he or she have to pay 6085/- per year,these includes maintenance, electricity and water bill.And about the food I eat,I have to pay Rs.66/- per day and it will be calculated at the end of the month and I have to pay the total amount at that time. Generally it varies in between 2000-2200/- per month.
Campus Life :
The campus is student friendly. There are different clubs like cultural clubs, sports club, literature club etc. which benefits students. Students from different cultures studies here so, everyones sentiments were respected and a lot of different cultural programmes were held throughout the years, for example a programme named 'NUA KHAI BHET GHAT' it was celebrated by the western odisha students in the month of agust. There is a university library which contains books related to course and other educational books..the condition of the library is very good and it is air-conditioned,well sitting arrangements were made for the students. There are other events like intra department,intra hostel,inter hostel and intra department matches were held time to time.And at the end of the year the annual sports day is held where interested students can take part. there are different whatsapp group and insta handles which keeps on sharing information about what's happening in the university.
Hostel Facilities :
To get admission in the first year students have to opt for hostel while applying for the university,and students have to pay an amount of 6085/-per year which includes it's maintenance, electricity and water bills. About the mess,a student have to pay a minimal of Rs.66/- per day if he eats the two time meals provided by the mess. No breakfast is given.only lunch and dinner are provided. Generally it costs around Rs 2000-2200/- based on how many days the student have eaten in that month. Among which thirty meals or 15 days meals is compulsory if no official holiday is in that month. The food quality is avarage. we have different menu throughout a week,which includes non-veg on tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, which includes chicken,fish,and eggs for nonveg and there is availablity of veg food for the vegetarian students also. many pg are available in about a 500m distance from the university.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
