- The college campus and the ignorance of the college towards cultural fest are the main reasons I hate this college.
Remarks :
Students have to clear the Comed-k exam to get into the colleges in Bangalore. You need to have a rank below 8500 to enter BIT's ISE department. There is no GD/PI round. Students, if prepared for the JEE main level, can easily ace COMED-K with a 2-3k rank. The good aspect is the placement, and the bad aspects are the campus and the college culture.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course for my interest in coding. Most of the teachers have a PhD degree in their teaching topic. Term exams are not timely, VTU, the university under which BIT is, doesn't care about the students who come from other states to study. The exams were easy tho. There is no peak in fee. The tuition fees in 10L, and the hostel fee is 4L ( for 4 years) Scholarship is given to Karnataka-domicile students only, and Financial Assistance is for students in Karnataka who have quotas.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship depends on the student completely, a few 5-6 companies come for students to take for internship. As for placement, many companies have recently started offering the SDE position. Few companies offer a Data Analyst/Data Scientist role.
Placement Experience :
For most companies, students need to have 60% attendance and above 7.5 GPA. A few recruiters are Bosch, Intuit, Cisco, Fidelity and Telstra. Highest: 57 LPA Average: 10 LPA Percentage of students getting placed: 70%
Campus Life :
Manthan, BIT's techno-cultural fest happens during July. There are libraries for every department, also there are digital libraries and computers which the students can access when they have to study. The classrooms are well-versed with the equipment needed In modern-world teaching. Due to the small size of the campus, students don't have a dedicated sports ground to themselves, but they can always use the grounds of National College, which is just beside BIT. Many college clubs function, most are inactive, but the active ones are GDSC, OS-CODE, TEDx, and Rotaract. The hostel's rooms are below average, but the food is much better compared to the food of different PGs beside it. Its registration process is a bit tricky, students have to come a little before so that they can gain admission, and the seats in the hostel are limited.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
