Reviewing the Most Beautiful College
Remarks :
Its among the top colleges in the country and is the most beautiful campus. It lies behind from some 6-7 top engineering colleges in the country by ranking. Bad aspects may include the suicide rate. Its pretty bad. The admission process is pretty simple. It happens through JoSAA Counselling. You can only take admission if you clear the JEE Advanced Exam at a good rank. I prepared through my school which focused on my JEE preparation.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Its known to be a chill course so you can focus on multiple skills sidewise. The faculties are extremely talented and most of them teach great. The exams were once every two months and some were pretty difficult while some were moderate.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Year wise the fee will be INR 300000. In this , a total of INR 200000 is the tution fee. 12000 is the mess fee. 50000 is the hostel fee. The fee for first year is same for all students. There are some scholarships available based upon income level and caste.
Campus Life :
Fests include Udgam in January , Techniche in August, Alcheringa in February etc. All the required books are available in the college library as its one of the biggest. Classroom facilities are pretty good. Fully AC, projectors , speakers , screens are all present.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality in my hostel mess is just amazing and there's new dishes every day of the week. The menu is refreshed every month and new dishes are added based upon suggestions. Registration was very easy. It occured on the first day of college and it was quick.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
