Remarks :
It was a merit bases test fetching students according to high class 12th percentage and here the CBSE students gets some advantages over the state board students as the state board exams are checked and kept very strictly.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Due to some unreal and unexpected COVID situation I had to enroll in the course. The faculties are well qualified with PhD and great teaching methods . The exams were conducted semester wise also 2 sessional exams between each semester. Overall of 6 exams 4 sessional and 2 final semester exams.
Internships Opportunities :
No there's no such opportunities to help with internships and that's the worst part of the college and students actually do not find any way out and suffer a lot after graduating even if with flying colours.
Placement Experience :
There's no such placement opportunity in the college and that's the worst part of it and students suffers after graduating even with good marks and if any opportunities comes then it's mostly of bpo and all.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Admission fees of almost 6-9k every odd semester if completed 12th from any private institute and admission fee of almost 1.5-2k if passes from govt institute or college and it may increase with time . Also fees for exams as exam fees are taken every semester before form fillup for exams,and it also may raise as years passes
Campus Life :
College cultural week is mostly conducted in the month of February and election in the morning of September/October. There's almost more then 5000 books over library and 100sitting capacity. There's no such sports activities regularly but it gets active almost from the month of December to march/April. Tbh there's no social group or clubs or website run by students excluding the students union body.
Hostel Facilities :
No I have not opted for hostel so I don't have much idea But overall the hostel is good with 25-30 boys capacity and 100+ girls capacity within the campus and with strict time limit for all the students for going out of the campus.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
